Micah Richards’ hamstring problem is City’s only injury worry ahead of the visit of United. Rafael could be in line for the chop for the Etihad clash, Stephen Kelly hopes to return this weekend for Fulham, while Emmanuel Adebayor’s Spurs future is up in the air after reports of a bust-up with ‘Arry.

Roberto Mancini has revealed Micah Richards’ hamstring problem will be assessed prior to Monday’s Etihad clash with United. The right-back missed out on Sunday’s trip to Wolves with the injury and has played 90 minutes in just one of City’s last five Gameweeks, with Pablo Zabaleta establishing himself in Mancini’s back-four. The City boss also went on to say he’s a little concerned over Yaya Toure’s recent form, with the midfielder far from his best in the Molineux match last weekend:

If Yaya Toure is on form, he is a top player. But we need him to be 100 per cent and on Sunday he was so-so. We also need to check on Micah Richards to see how his hamstring is. Providing he has recovered, with Mario Balotelli back from suspension, we will have everyone.

Reports of a fallout between Harry Redknapp and Emmanuel Adebayor have Fantasy managers on red alert this week. The on-loan forward missed Saturday’s trip to QPR with an alleged hamstring problem and has been earmarked by many for a transfer-in ahead of the upcoming double Gameweek. With 13 goals and 12 assists to his name thus far, Adebayor has played a part in more goals than any other Spurs player but the media is awash with rumours that the pair have had a training ground bust up, with the Togo international unhappy over Redknapp’s criticism of his performances. Any possible absence leaves Tottenham with a striker shortage at present; Louis Saha is also a doubt due to a groin injury, leaving Jermain Defoe as the possible forward of choice ahead of Spurs’ home game with Blackburn and trip to Bolton next week.

Reports this morning suggest Rafael could be set for the chop after United conceded four to Everton at the weekend. The Mirror reckons the young Brazilian was singled out by Sir Alex Ferguson after United’s inability to see out a two-goal lead with seven minutes left allowed the Toffees to salvage a draw. While the league leaders have looked defensively solid in recent weeks – with six clean sheets in the previous seven – Ferguson is now expected to install either Phil Jones or Chris Smalling into the back-four ahead of Monday’s trip to the Etihad, as United look to preserve their three-point lead over City.

Stephen Kelly hopes to return to the Fulham fold this week after missing out in last Saturday’s win over Wigan. The right-back had played every minute of all but one of the Cottagers’ previous sixteen fixtures and, priced at 4.0, afforded a cut-price route into Martin Jol’s defence, but admitted yesterday he was forced to skip the Latics clash after breaking his wrist in the Gameweek 34 draw with Chelsea:

Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’m back playing. I sustained a slight break to my wrist but it’s something that I can hopefully get over and play with a cast on it. I got through the match against Chelsea and finished the game after it happened in the first half so that’s a good sign and fingers crossed I’ll be back soon. I’ll be looking to get back into training this week and get the confidence built up again. It’s a matter of getting back into training and hopefully it will feel good and I’ll be available at the weekend for the game against Everton.

Brendan Rodgers has revealed he expects Steven Caulker to be fully fit this weekend as Swansea take on relegated Wolves at the Liberty Stadium. The on-loan centre-half played the entire 90 minutes at the Reebok on Saturday, despite the fact he was suffering from the flu. Rodgers was full of praise for the defender’s display, going on to say:

How he got through the Bolton game I don’t know, because he had been up all night. He had flu, so for him to be out on the field was incredible. He is going to be a top player and performances like that show why.

    Mata/Cahill rotation-
Will there be anything to learn from Chelsea's starting XI today vs Barca in terms of who might start both games of dgw36?
Or will playing time in the dgw be more influenced by the F.A. final on May 5th?
If Chelsea go out of the CL today will RDM start his strongest lineup for gw36a, gw36b,AND the F.A. ?

    vorm
    kelly, williamson, kompany
    bale, pienaar, sessegnon, dempsey
    cisse, rvp, aguero

    ruddy, mcauley, evans, valencia

rarely ask this but advice on following please

already took one hit this week, should i swap kompany or sess for anyone?
    liverpool players- no thanks
chelsea players- cant be sure anyone will play both & only QPR game shows interest
    Ncastle players- got 2 already

so options it leaves me with are:
    kompany- jags or huth
    sess- ????

looking beyond this DGW everton have best fixture so i am thinking it is case of will Jag score more over next three games than kompany over next two + hit?

Are you chasing? Now is the time to take chances.
Evertons' fixtures look strongest for a def. return over the next 3 weeks.
Kelly and Will'son might concede in both away games. I wouldn't play Kelly.
You could look at bringing in HIbbert or Jag, or even just play McAuley vs AVL.
IF Sun will score , it will be vs Bolton at home. I have McClean and am tempted to play him.
Or take a chance and do Sess- Barfa who does well in away games.

slightly old news, but Mancini's job is safe no matter what happens now. Glad to us sticking with a manager and not pulling an Abramovich.

In a rare interview with Abu Dhabi TV, Mansour said: "The difference is three points and we do have a chance.

"But whatever happens and even if we don't win I am very happy and satisfied with the players, team and management."

Just outside the top 50 in UCL so would love some advice please lads. Just an easy question to which transfer option looks best lads?

    A: Badstuber to Adriano
B: Cuenca and Robben to Benzema and 4.3 mid (2 point hit)
    C: Both A and B (4 point hit)

About A- many pundits believe Adriano could be dropped to make way for Pique. Otherwise I think this is a good transfer.
If Adriano starts than I like C.
Maybe I would look at Sanches instead of Benzema as a differential.

      Thinking about
      Walcott -> Pienaar
      Holt -> Cisse
      Komps -> BaE

If i decide to go with Jelly + HBA over Cisse + Pienaar, then i'll only have 4.

So I currently have only 3 DGW players: Friedel, Dempsey, and Cisse. I've got a 30 point lead in my mini league. Rival currently has 7 DGW players and won't be getting any more in. Is it worth it for me to do Kompany, Walcott, Valencia, McClean/Sess out for Terry, VDV, Barfa and Pienaar? Would be a minus 12, but with only 3 players currently on the double and my rival having so many I feel I need to do something to bring some players in. I feel all my choices have a very good chancE at outscoring the players I'm transferring out. Kompany v Man U I do not see a clean sheet. Walcott is injured. I don't see much for Valencia vs Man City. And with rotation possibilities hanging over the heads of a coasting Sunderland, these just might pay off.

    Team would be
    FRIEDEL (Mig)
    TERRY, Verm, Caulker, (Kelly, Evans)
    DEMPSEY, PIENAAR, BARFA, VDV, (Sess/McClean)
    Rooney, Tevez, CISSE.
    .6 in the bank.

If I choose not to get PIENAAR in I could get Nani in next week on a ft. Any thoughts?

It's well and good getting DGW players in but I think -12 is too great a hit to be taking. I mean there is no guarantee that it will pay off.

If you are going to take hits do it for players that he already has so that you lock out any possible differencials.

          Yep.....I just did it myself!

Given your team I think you should make up the -8. It's probably the only GW I would consider taking such a hit.

I am on -4 for this gw with 8dgw players and it's staying that way.

Then next week.....in comes RVP 🙂

No. You can't use that logic and then put two players from different teams just cause they don't play each other.

"Will a certain player have the possibility of bringing me some points?", that should be your questions. Regardless of clashes.

Norwich away, he'll play. Not too good considering LIV form.
