The bumper Gameweek 36 gives us no fewer than 14 Premier League fixtures to enjoy and hopefully score plenty of fantasy points in. The Dugout Discussion opens today to witness half of those, with six 3pm games and an evening kick-off.
At the Britannia Stadium, Stoke host third placed Arsenal, with the visitors needing a win to keep Newcastle and Spurs at bay. With Chelsea only one win away from securing Champions League football next season, Newcastle know that only a win away at Wigan will suffice.
As well as the game at the DW Stadium, there’s another two games with huge implications for the bottom of the league. Sunderland host struggling Bolton, who will have gained confidence from a midweek win against Aston Villa. Villa, who were themselves dragged into the relegation battle as a result of that defeat, travel to West Brom for a fiercely fought Black Country derby.
As always at this time of the season, there are a few games of little significance. Having either successfully avoided relegation, unsuccessfully challenged for Europe, or (in Wolves’ case) already been condemned to relegation, the other three fixtures will be confined to end billing on tonight’s Match of the Day.
Follow all of the action today in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which will remain open until the game between Norwich and Liverpool this evening concludes. You can access the chatroom right here.
