[sbu_large_image] Spot the Differential

With eight teams handed a pair of fixtures apiece, this upcoming Gameweek offers Fantasy managers a chance of plenty differentials to consider. We’ve opted to draft in a couple of in-form midfielders as Newcastle and Everton come into consideration, while we’re going out on a limb by lining up one of Arsenal’s young guns, in light of Theo Walcott’s recent hamstring injury…

Yohan Cabaye

With Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa dominating the headlines in recent weeks, Yohan Cabaye had gone largely unnoticed until his 17 point haul last weekend thrust him firmly into the limelight. As the third most transferred in player this week, it seems the secret is out – Cabaye is hot property right now, and with a tasty looking double Gameweek, his investors will be licking their lips at the prospect of another massive score. His current price of 6.0 and low 4.5% ownership only adds to his appeal and The Frenchman looks an outstanding differential for this Gameweek.

Trips to in-form Wigan and Chelsea may not look the easiest fixtures on paper but, in their current form, you’d have to back the Magpies to pick up a couple of goals at least, and Cabaye could well profit once again. It’s worth mentioning that he was substituted after taking a slight knock last weekend but, according to manager Alan Pardew, he is expected to be fully fit for the visit to the DW stadium this Saturday.

Marouane Fellaini

Handed a more advanced central midfield role in last week’s 4-4 draw at Old Trafford, the Belgian produced a 10 point Fantasy Premier League (FPL) haul, after grabbing a goal and assist to dent United’s title bid. Post-match, Fellaini admitted he’s more than happy pushing forward in support of lone frontman Nikica Jelavic and looks set to continue in the position for Everton’s double Gameweek.

While Fellaini has been snapped up by more than 10,000 Fantasy managers ahead of the Toffees’ fixtures against Fulham and Stoke, he’s still owned by a mere 1.5% and, priced at 6.1, offers a real alternative to the likes of 7.1 priced Steven Pienaar in the Toffees midfield. With a trip to Wolves to follow before a home clash with Newcastle, David Moyes’ men are afforded further chance to extend their unbeaten four-match run and finish the season with a flourish.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Gervinho’s trip to the African Cup of Nations gave us time to run the rule over the summer buy from Southampton back in January. Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed four back-to-back starts from Gameweek 22-25 on the left for the Gunners and made an immediate impact – returning two goals and an assist, he averaged over 6 points per game before finding himself back on the subs bench, with Arsene Wenger wary of burn-out, citing Jack Wilshere as a recent example.

With Yossi Benayoun unavailable against parent club Chelsea last weekend, the youngster was afforded a place on Arsenal’s left once again in the 0-0 Emirates stalemate. Having started the previous three, Benayoun is favourite to return to the first XI but, with Theo Walcott ruled out of the Gunners’ final three fixtures, Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to move to the opposite wing for this week’s trip to Stoke.

The winger has plummeted to a season-low of just 4.9, with a mere 2.3% ownership, and, with Arsenal hosting Norwich before seeing out the season with a trip to West Brom, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s contribution could well prove to be crucial as Arsene Wenger’s side continue their pursuit of a Champions League place.

Have you left enough cash for Rooney next week? Im doing Cisse > Rooney 37, imo you wont really want HBA or Siggy playing after this week, which is why ive gone for moses after 36.

I can dump Dempsey and Cisse/Jelavic to get Rooney; however, I think Man U will win and then most Man U and Man Citeh will be rested/rotated for the last two weeks.

Got same wc team except freidel and Terry. Did all in with dgwers with bale instead of Moses. Almost went moses on bench and keep siggy but figured play math and get two games on average. Kept Rooney(bench) over rvp figuring if city wins he could be better for rest of season since do not like rvp form. Good luck!

    Bogdan (Vorm)
    Cahill Verm Simpson (McAuley) (Evans)
    Siggy Dempsey HBA Piennar (Valencia)
    Cisse Rooney Jelly(C)

Is there anything that I should change? Thinking of swapping Cahill/McAuley for a DGW defender for a 4pt hit. Who would be the best defender this week and the run in? Terry, Hibbert, Walker? Have a ridiculous 10.5 mil in the bank!!

I'd be wary of walker. Most of his points are from clean sheets. He has one assist from all those runs in an attacking team. Much better options in defence this week imo .... Eg huth, terry... Even jags if you are after clean sheets. Bae was the key spurs defender on fpl terms.

Selling is the hard part. I'd back the fixture list and sell Aguero.

      Morning (or evening)

      I woud sell aguero.

Reasons. If united win on Monday, daps off. RVP has NOR next gw too and they will want 3rd in case Chelsea win ECL and 4th place is no good.

Normal jokes aside, The who to buy is tricky... I don't think VDV has been the points demon of previous years (look at his weekly pts since jan3) but I am seriously considering bringin him in for Valencia (for 8 pts) to buddy up with bale. Who I have.

I would still pick balle if only allowed 1 of 2. More consistent, more threat, better hamstrings.

Have you decided on your pts taken limit TM?

Thinking -4 will do the job & hope my defence does the job.

Well the Ox was a pointless differential, he doesn't even have a DGW!

As for Fellaini I very nearly bought him instead of Pienaar. I checked the heat maps and average position and they both get a similar distance forward and they both get into the box the same amount, Fellaini is just more central. He is a good option but I decided against it as he could easilly be shifted back into CM if Cahill gets a run in the team at some point.

I think Cabaye could be a real dark horse in the remaining games.

But Ben Arfa still plays further forward than Cabaye so should be a better bet?

Yes but Cabaye is looking good. I have HBA and I hope he outshines Cabaye

guys do you really think RVP wont score more than siggy?
cus arsenal are still not totally own 3rd place...and with chelsea playing in the final which they could win...the 4th spot is not good enough..rite?...so ...do u think its a risk putting RVP ahead of siggy?...when the rest of my mini league rivals DONT HAVE RVP..!
    toughts please =)

To start Siggy or RVP hmmm tough one

the thing is the rest of my squad i think is good to go really...
        because..my front 8 are

        bale,VDV,pienaar,cabaye,siggy
        RVP,rooney,suarez

so what do u think mate? =)

just go against all the odds and go with RVP? =)

the thing is that RVP is more likely to score 2 goals..while siggy although could..i dont see swansea trashing wolves...

    Utd fans:

If Evans is out does that mean Rafael willl have to start with Jones going centre. Just wondering whether to start Valencia or not. He's been held back by carrying Rafael the last few games.
