Just a couple of weekends to go and, if City and United stick to the script, we’re heading for a season climax to remember. There’s still life in the Fantasy season too, with our Saturday Surgery chatroom now open to collect your real-time musings as we near the deadline on a Gameweek strewn with double fixtures.

A last chance for the trailing pack to make ground? That might just be the case. Double Gameweeks have a tendency to disappoint and yet, the optimism they create seems irresistible every time.

While you ponder the merits of points hits a little further, here’s a collection of our greatest hits from the week just past…

  • Dominated by double Gameweek assets, the Scout Picks arrived for Friday tea-time with Sir Paulos offering the views of the Scout Committee on this week’s selections.
  • Sir P also took over Differential duties from Big Dunc this week: he brought you a slice of the unexpected only this morning.
  • Our exhaustive Scouting the Doubles articles ran all week with myself, Sir P, Stilicho and Jonty all contributing to double Gameweek guides on Chelsea, Fulham, Everton, Spurs Newcastle, Liverpool and Stoke. Bolton were of course covered in Gameweek 35 if you need further insight on them.
  • Andy sliced and diced this week’s Captain Poll results in last night’s article, while Anorak brought us his usual analysis of the Gameweek refs in “Men in Black“.
  • There were Watchlist articles on two of the prime double Gameweek targets, with both Rafael Van der Vaart and Fernando Torres coming under focus and our full Watchlist refresh can be soaked up here.
  • Finally, as always, we worked to bring you the definitive team news for the Gameweek ahead, together with our predicted lineups right here.

Get your goggles around that little lot, then consider popping into the surgery chatroom to spend some last moments of tinkering with your fellow Fantasy managers.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Peanut. Just as an observation, I'm curious why Pienaar and Fellaini are your options and not Pienaar and Osman?

Probably Pienaar but not a fan of either for a hit

Any thoughts on my team would be appreciated, currently top of my league but its tight and no doubt this week will be make or break. 3-4-3

    Howard
    Raylor, Hibbert, Bosingwa
    Bale, Barfa, Sig, Dempsey
Cisse, Jelavic (?) Torres/Adebayor, take a chance on Suarez, play 5 midfield or just stick with RVP?

    Thanks

Ade has been on pens most of the season. Can't see why this would change.

Cisse is always a good bet.
      Bale in my opinion.
Captain either Cisse or Jelavic - "flip a coin, for that brief moment that it's in the air you'll know what you are hoping for" - I'm not sure who coined this phrase 😉 but it works

    Captain choice analysis

Using 4 factors: form, fixtures, FPL quality and safety (likelihood of playing 2 games)

    Cisse:
    Form: 5
    Fixtures: 2
Quality: 4 (early days, but he looks a gem)
Safety: 5 (Newcastle need wins and can't afford to rest him)

    Total: 16/20

    Jelvaic:
    Form: 4
    Fixtures: 3
Quality: 4 (as per Cisse above including chance of pens)
Safety: 3 (speculation he may be rested midweek, Everton little to play for)

    Total: 14/20

    Bale:
    Form: 1
    Fixtures: 5
    Quality: 4
    Safety: 5

    Total: 15/20

    VdV
    Form: 2
    Fixtures: 5
    Quality: 5
    Safety: 4

    Total: 16/20

    Dempsey

    Form: 4
    Fixtures: 2
    Quality: 4
    Safety: 5

    Total: 15/20

    Adebayor

    Form: 1
    Fixtures: 5
    Quality: 4
Safety: 3 (just come back from hamstring / bust up / both)

    Total: 13/20

    Conclusion: its a tough choice!!

    Morning All, 🙂
8pt hit to sort out my BAE problem. I'm now toying with the idea of another 4pt to take Siggy out for Petrov who has better end fixtures and two this week & is on pens.
Hoping Petrov in his two will get as many as Siggy's one game. Reasonable idea?

After taking an 8pter I wouldnt be considering any more moves. And I'm confident Siggy can do as well against Wolves as Petrov can do in 2 against sun & TOT.

He'd be captain material if it werent for DGW

I'd go JT personally. Good fixtures at home, slight chance of a goal and strong chance of playing both fixtures. Chelsea have been playing better of late too.

Obviously if Spurs werent in such poor form it would be a no-brainer to go for Walker

Hi guys and gals! I just did my WC and this is the team I have now. Any opinions greatly appreciated.
    Howard (Habsi)
Hibbert - Huth - Williamsson (JEvans, Caulker)
Bale - Dempsey - Mata - Siggy (Valencia)
Jelavic - Papiss Cisse - Ade

Thinking about finding someone for Caulker for the coming gameweeks and wondering whether I should let Valencia go for VDV and thus resting Siggy?
