Fernando Torres matched the achievements of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez with a hat-trick of his own as Chelsea swept pass relegation threatened QPR. With Rafael Van der Vaart delivering in Tottenham’s routine win over Blackburn, the double Gameweek gambles have almost paid in full, with another 90 minutes to go.

Here’s our usual round-up for Members of some of the key performance statistics collected so far, together with our punt on where the Fantasy Premier League bonus points could be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Will cost too much

      Will no oubt have a spattering of reading and southampton players on the bench too start off.

      Van Persie will be a ridiclous price to start off, if he still here

            So what would you suggest in terms of pricing?

            Like and example would be:

            12 10 6
            10 8 7 5 4
            7 5 6 4 4
            6 4

            Like how will you be breaking down your budget? Focus on attack first, or balance?

              fixtures then prices would dictate how i would pick the initial team. I.e went with Rooney for first 6 or 7 weeks then switched to RVP.

    One thing you might want to bear in mind is that player who are involved in the euros tend to start slowly in the league.
    Its normally the new teams that start off well , its silly to have the high priced players to begin with as your in danger of losing money. Until xmas my one aim is to grow my budget .

    For me the main thing is that utd don't lose, that'll be enough to win the league. But what I wouldike to see is utd head to the ethiad and stuff em, city to take the lead and utd to reply with a brace from Rooney and fittingly Antonio Valencia driving the dagger in to make it city 1-3 utd.

    71 possession, 19 attempts on goal, 3 crossbars (albeit 1 ended up in the net), 0 attempts on goal conceded.

    Are Tottenham finding some form or were Blackburn truly that awful?

      Blackburn were well and truly awfull, they didn't have a shot on target and barely got out of their own half, keane set them up with 5 at the back and that was their downfall , needed todo a lot better Sunday but IMO theyre now relegated.

      I thought Spurs were very good yesterday and contributed to why they dominated the game. Blackburn were totally outplayed. They didn't help themselves tho. Showed no urgency to close down players. Even towards the end when they got some of the ball. You would expect them to go long, and direct to try get something out of the game. But just passed it across the back 4.

      Blackburn were pathetic. I honestly don't think I've ever seen such an inept performance from a team. A team can lack quality, but considering where they are in the league to not show any fight whatsoever and just sit behind the ball all game (even though they were losing!) was pathetic. Good riddance when they go down.

      Even though Blackburn were so woeful, the one thing Spurs will have got from the game, apart from 3pts, is some confidence going into the Bolton game. Bolton will have to attack I'd imagine, so should present some gaps for VDV & co to exploit. Maybe. I hope.

      After yesterday's team selection I think RDM made a statement by putting the league is a priority. I think Mata will start.

      He'll start I reckon. Came off early after running the show. U can't underestimate the importance of the Newcastle game, I personally think for its more important than the Cup final. I bet if u asked them to choose between the cup and 4th, they would choose 4th.

    United players were shaken yesterday after a wild return flight from Cardiff where they had a two-night break.

    Their 30-seater plane was heavily buffeted on take-off and early on. Rio Ferdinand tweeted afterwards: “Landed safely in Manchester from Cardiff... bumpy old flight that.”

      Well, it serves them right for going to Cardiff. Why couldn't they just go to Spain and play golf like everybody else?

    Logged into my fantasy just now and realise both Bale and Lennon has each assist. GREAT!

      Good shout for fantasy next season.

      Very good shout. Will make the striker choices even harder... Torres, RVP, Rooney, Tevez, Cisse, Jelavic, etc should all be up there. (Spurs striker too if they secure one)

      If that's true and if its true that Spurs aren't taking Ade then Citeh will have Kun/Tevez/Ade/Dzeko/Balo...

    Having resisted the Turner -> Terry (4 point hit) punt last week, I feel like I owe it to myself to take a hit this week. Any ideas? Best I can come up with is:

    a) P Cisse & Siggy -> Rooney & Moses,
    b) Turner & Siggy -> Baines/Vermaelen & Pienaar, or
    c) Kompany & Siggy -> Vermaelen & Nani

    Bogdan
    JEvans, Kompany, Skrtel
    Dempsey, Valencia, Bale, VDV
    RVP, P Cisse, Jelavic

    Mignolet, Siggy, Turner, Caulker

      Something involving Vermaelen I'd say, but waiting until the weekend is the best option.

        Yeah, none of them are critical before price rises so I can wait till the w/e.

        The vanila option is a plain old Cisse -> Rooney (no hit)
