Big. Huge. Game. It’s here – the Manchester derby, the title decider already billed as the biggest clash in the twenty year history of the Premier League. How’s that for hype? Can tonight’s Etihad clash really measure up? We have our Dugout Discussion chatroom open to catch all the excitement, or lack of, as it unfolds.

The team news perhaps already tells a tale. City, content with their recent outstanding form, go with an unchanged lineup which means no place for Micah Richards who returns to the bench alongside Mario Balotelli, straining at the leash.

Sir Alex Ferguson, perhaps going all out to avoid defeat, shuffles the pack with Antonio Valencia and Danny Welbeck benched for the experience of Ryan Giggs and the industry of Ji-Sung Park. Phil Jones replaces the loose cannon that is Rafael at right-back, while Chris Smalling is called in to partner Rio Ferdinand. Those reports on Jonny Evans’ injury seemingly checking out, then, as United’s rock in recent weeks is kept sidelined.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Euro 2012 FF team 🙂

    Lloris

    Llorente Lewandowski Ibrahimovic

    Bench: Olsson Strinić Andrews

    Any comments/suggestions? Cheers

I thought Ibra had a knack of not scoring for his national team? and VDV is probablly going to get benched/rotated by competing for his spot with Sneijder.

Got to take Ibra for the price he's at. Would also try get Gomez or Ronaldo in, but over Llorente is a bit dodgy (assuming Llorente will start). Get a wildcard so when Portugal go out in the group, you can get rid 😉

Not sure if Abate is first choice but if he is he's a good cheap option. I think Gomez could be essential.

Lewandowski is the Polish guy right? Do you know anything about him? I'm know nothing but he could be a good day 1 captain.

Just done Rooney out, RVP in. United were bosses in airfield tonight and i can see Fergie dropping Rooney in there and starting one or both of Hernandez / Wellbeck. Just Man U coverage in Valencia and Evans.

It's certainly a risk, but i fancy keeping Aguero for the New, QPR games and Torres back at Anfield.

Think this defeat hits United players hard.

Parker is a great mid, but just like Scholes and Carrick he adds very little going forward. Scholes and Carrick had a good game, based on the fact that United only conceded a corner.

Well Zaba and Clichy have chances for BP. Komp is nailed on 3BP and Silva could nick 2 or 1. I won't be surprised if he doesn't get any, cause he has 0 shots on target.

They're not complete pushovers though (despite this week's result). And he's had more transfers in today than Torres after a hat-trick. Only Walker, Moses and Jelavic with more than him. (All big scorers this week.)

Torres is harder to afford though, or maybe people don't want to lose RVP and Rooney/ want to get them back in. Would prefer either of them over Torres for the final two games.

Trying to figure out the best move for next week, current ideas include:

    a) One of Vorm/Krul to a keeper for the last 2 weeks (Szczesny/Howard/Friedel/Al-Habsi??)
    b) Sigurdsson to one of nani/young/valencia (though not v. keen on this one after tonight)
    c) Cisse to Jelavic (Have Piennar)
    d) Cisse to Rooney (would need a 4 pointer to free up 0.7 mil)
    e) Nothing

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

With d would probably be Siggy --> 4.6er (rest of mid is dempsey, bale, moses, piennar) or something like terry --> kompany, which all seems very sideways.

Komps on my bench confirms this as pretty much the worst day of football of all time, and as part as an awful FPL week as well.

Still, could come on if skrtel doesn't play vs. fulham, but I doubt that.
