Blackburn’s top flight status hangs by a thread, with Victor Moses looming over them like a tricky Edward Scissorhands. Tonight’s game is as crucial as they come and our Dugout Discussion chatroom is open wide ready to take in your reactions as the match unfolds.

Just a point for Robert Martinez’ progressive Latics will keep them safe and complete another miraculous escape act. Steve Kean can only look on at their position in envy, knowing that even a win under the Ewood lights may not be enough for Rovers to scramble clear.

The team news tells a story – Wigan are unchanged again, confident in their lineup and 3-5-2 system that has brought them such success in the final furlong. As for Rovers, there’s just a whiff of desperation lingering amongst the bovril and balti pies. Anthony Modeste starts for Mauro Formica, with Steve Kean set to play him up top with Yakubu. Junior Hoilett will presumably get off the phone from his agent long enough to take up a place on the wing.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Desperate for advice please:

    I am just about dead even (2 points ahead) of my main rival. Do you think it is worth -4 to have this team going into the final GW:

    Habsi

    Terry Verm Williams

    Bale VdV Moses Valencia

    Rvp Aguero Jelly

    (Mingolet -- Rangel -- Simpson -- Siggy)

    Please help guys!

    Vorm (Krul)
    Hibbert Walker Vermaelen (Evans Simpson)
    Petrov Bale Valencia Pienaar (Siggurdson)
    VanPersie Rooney Aguero
    I'm planning on Dempsey/Cisse>Petrov/Aguero
    Does Petrov make more sense than Moses now that Wigan is clear of relegation?

    RMT for the final week 😀

    Al-Habsi (Bogdan)
    Walker/Evra | Terry | Ivanovic (Boyce, Kilgallon)
    VDV | Silva | Moses | Ramires (Sigurdsson)
    Aguero(C) | Tevez | RVP

    I have 1.8 in the bank with a FT. Who should i get in that defender spot, Walker or Evra?

    All advice appreciated,
    Thanks lads 🙂

    Leading the ML by 15 points. Should I do ?

    Jelavic -> Augero, Dempsey -> Moses (4 pt hit)
    or
    Rooney -> Augero

    My opponent has Moses and his front line is Rooney, RVP and Cisse.
    I dont have RVP, so my front line will be Adebayor, Augero, Rooney or Adebayor, Augero, Jelavic based on the decision above.

        but remember if Arsenal goes up against West Brom, there would be no incentive left for Toons to push. They would all be monitoring each other progress as games same time. But whatever, tough call whether to sell Cisse or Jelly !!! see what the odds on betting are closer to the date.

              If you were Newcastle you might be hoping Spurs slip up instead. Top 4 might be enough. If they were 2-0 ahead as well then no doubt it might be disheartening. The chances of both scenarios occurring however are fairly low.

              I'm not even sure about Sinclair being in that group. His point total has more than justified his price (although I appreciate a good chunk of that is his being on penalties, but hard to discount that when it was part of his lure all along). I say this as someone who hasn't owned Sinclair for a single game.

                  I suppose you can't expect a player to have equally good stats in the premier league as the championship. Unless you expect that particular side to be competitive and offer plenty of attacking chances in the premiership, in which case that player may still do fairly well.

                    Sinclare and Carrol both did well in the premier league. They are good examples of how they can still produce the goods. Spot kick takers are always worth it. Holt would have been good too if he wasn't under threat from the younger Morrison.

            If its a player that is the center of everything the team does and happens to be a striker then I think this can be the exception. The players you mentioned don't fall into that category in my opinion

    I am currently 8 points off top spot in my mini league. Have Terry to play and opponent has Jose Enrique tonight. My Nani transfer last week back fired big time he didn't even play 🙁

    I am now looking at my final week to try something crazy a mega hit -16 to bring in some differentials it is all or nothing for me now.

    Hart
    Vermaelen Terry Hibbert
    Nani Siggy Dempsey VDV Pienaar
    VP Jelavic Cisse
    Subs Bogdan Simpson Caulker

    Nani -> Mata
    Demp -> Moses
    VP -> Aguero
    Jelavi -> Tevez
    Cisse -> Torres

    So team will look like this

    Hart
    Vermaelen Terry Hibbert
    VDV Mata Moses Pienaar/Siggy
    Tevez Torres(VC) Aguero (C)

      Crazy talk! 8 points is nothing, a captains pick. 24 points is too big a gap.

      Yeah, I think you know that the overwhelming consensus is it is crazy to take a 16 point hit when things are close. Think of something ... more rational.

        Siggy, Dempsey & of course RVP have the potential to score well this week. How about just downgrade Nani for Moses and upgrade Jelly/Sess to Torres or Aguero/Tevez if you can afford it?

      Nuts. Instead of an 8 point gap, you're creating a 20 point gulf!

      Just bring in Aguero for either Jelavic or Cisse if you can... Arsenal need to win and RVP will be involved.

    lol Our teams are almost the same difference we have at the moment is Terry/Jose.
    I know he will captain Aguero this week 100% he has made two changes this week Rooney - Aguero or Tevez and i would say he will go for a city midfield player.

    So I'm 16pts off top 10k target finish and 14pts from top spot in money league, would it be suicidal at this stage to take a pts hit?

    Was going to go for Jelly & Bale -> Moses & Aguero but wondering if should just settle for Rooney -> Aguero and save the pts?

      Def. save the pts, i have considered this also. Moses has nothing to play for, so i wouldnt get him in at this point.
