Over the past couple of days, we’ve been sorting out our Injuries and Bans database, updating the upcoming suspensions for the season ahead in addition to keeping note of those players still sidelined or unavailable for one reason or another…

This takes into account the ensuing bans for the likes of Tim Cahill and Joey Barton, while Danny Rose and Jason Roberts have already served one game of their respective three-match suspensions. Wayne Bridge’s loan move to Brighton and Chelsea pair Patrick Van Aanholt and Tomas Kalas’ season-long move to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem have also been noted accordingly.

In terms of injuries, players such as Darren Bent and Nemanja Vidic have now been changed to “available for selection” in light of their respective returns to pre-season training. Any long-term casualties who have yet to return to any sort of action remain marked as unavailable – as always, this includes Kieron Dyer.

We’re also tracking all the injury news from the pre-season matches: those players causing concern will be marked as “knocks” while we await further updates. Their status will of course change should they become “doubts” or “outs” for the season kick-off on August 18.

  All others not really considering at their high price values. (Maybe Cisse later on in season, bad run of fixtures)

  Surprised you're so keen on tevez jinswick. Balotelli had a great euro and was recently coined one of the best strikers in the world along with Messi, aguero & rvp by mancini. Surely tevez will be rotated at best, backup at worst?

    I think his price is just wrong, that's all. For me, him and Aguero are the current first choice pairings, and City are capable of scoring hatfuls against anyone. That said, Balo and Dzeko will get some game time, and if RVP goes there, then Tevez becomes a non-event.

Guys if you had to choose 1 of Rooney or Aguero to start the season who would you pick?
(and by start i mean long term -at least 5 gwks, not just looking at gw1 fixtures)

By the looks of it I don't think i'll be having both do to high prices.

I'm leaning towards Rooney as he's the focal point of United's attack.

    i'm just thinking theoretically, perhaps having one striker priced at 12+ and two others around 6.5-9.5 is the way to go this season.

      Last year it was launched on July 20, which was later than usual, since they encountered some issues. So should things be fine this year, which I truly doubt, launch should be anytime today.

Guys, please wait for a write-up from Isacki if you have any doubts regarding - Rotation Planner v4.3 - Isacki.xlsx . Unlike FPL, I can assure you the write-up is coming out today.

The download can be found at the bottom right of any page on the site http://uefacouncil.wordpress.com/.

Also no point previewing it on the browser, it won't work that way. You will have to download it, and open it using excel to see it's sheer brilliance.

Basically you have to select your starting 15, and it will tell you
a) which team to play each week (all the way up to gw38 if you want)
b) tell you who the starting 11 are playing against
c) tell you who is on the bench and who they are playing against too
d) rate your team for each week
etc etc

It does a lot more, but I will leave all that for Isacki to explain. I don't want to take any more of his limelight away.

    May be wrong but I think that was just a tabloid rumour as Laudrup spoke about our supposed interest in Allen a few days ago without mentioning that deal
    I'd welcome Allen with open arms personally. Seemed a very tidy player last season and a better option than Adam or Henderson (though hendo has a good future imo)

  I think all the prices so far have been about spot on, tbh. Hard to judge them as they've only released a few, but still, the values look decent to me.

    Prices may have been fair but if they keep giving fair prices to players according to last season it will be very difficult to select a team. For example a forward from a promoted team has not been worth £6m until now.

  I'm happy with the valuations so far. All pretty spot on IMO and similar to what I would set em at. As always we'll have to unearth a couple bargains to balance our initial squads

      Which is usually the case. Only 2 12 mil players if u want a balanced squad with options. Always need to find a 4.5 starting attacker with some potential and a couple 4.0 starting defenders

      I am not talking about the big hitters, they have to be expensive of course. I am talking about the mid-ranged priced players who might be a bit over-valued. For example Bale and Dempsey were only 8.0 last season. Now I can't see any player from a good team price that much. No cheaper route in Spurs midfield that may give us some points. Same for all the other bi teams. No we have to fill out our squads with the mid tabled teams rather than the top teams apart from the 3,4 big hitters that you want.
