Having added statistical maps to our Match Dashboard a week or so ago, we’ve now brought these new aids into the Player Profiles and, more importantly perhaps, the Stats Comparison Tool.

Our Members can now compare two players head-to-head and get both a statistical view and a graphical view of a players performance. Our new maps allow you to plot stats such as Shots, Chances Created, Crosses, Dribbles, Passes and an array of defensive stats. These can, of course, be filtered by a range of Gameweeks or matches and by home and away fixtures.

The next step is to add a heatmap that will plot a player’s touches on the pitch. We’ll be bringing that to you very soon.

The movie below offers a walkthrough of these new features, running a comparison between Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon and James McClean’s over their last six matches.

Memberships are still available for £12.50 up until the first weekend of the season. Click here for details on how to register or upgrade your account and for all our preview movies so far.

He's first choice, but not nailed on for every game as far as I know. The likes of Rodwell won't be left on the bench all season and I'd say Gibson's the most likely to get dropped when they play.

    Lampard Sinclair Kagawa noble (Holman)

    Tevez aguero Torres

How can you call Taarabt pants and have Holman...you must be Australian. And not that enamored with Sinclair either when Dyer, Etherington and Song will probably outscore him. Outside of penos and the decent run he had late last season I can´t see points in him. Holman could be a differential, but I´m not banking on a Villa player until they show me something. Besides, he´s not much of a differential on Villa at 0.4%, when Zogs is at 1.4% and Ireland´s at 1.0%.

Villa have good fixtures at start of season and he's a medium priced proposition.

        Dyer won't outscore Sinclair

        Song won't outscore Sinclair

Ethirington could if he wasnt always getting injured

        I'm not Australian.

I would stay away from Sinclair...Song had same amount of BAPs last season playing much deeper without the luxury of penos. Just saying it'll be fun watching them go at each other GW1...if he's still a Swan.

Front line should do the business though. Oh yeah be careful, could be a bloody sunday for Lescott owners if Mancini goes with Torre, the consensus just sort of pulled out their ass that he was nailed on for GW1. I would go for Zabaleta. There is almost no chance Richards will play a part in GW1. Can the same be said for Kolo Toure/Aleksandar/Lescott/Clichy platoon...(depending on the formation).

Silva is an outside doubt for the season's first game. VDV is always under threat of a little rotation or being played out wide on occasion. I'd stick with Bale though might be tempted for Mata over Hazard until Hazard becomes more a known quantity.

Midfield ur gambling too much. Hazard, michu and Guthrie...hmmm don't like

Attack is standard I guess. I don't favour Rooney and Torres is nailed on against two lower echelon teams. Petric could explode or could be the new boselli.

clyne played as a winger at least once in pre-season i believe, so i'd go with him.

even if he is (and he isn't, although he's a likely starter), not sure where the attraction comes from. is he expected to play in the hole?
