This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes†synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

    Trying to figure out my team and as of now I have 2 options… Any thoughts?

      Double defensive from West Ham seems not right..

      I like 1 but I would switch McClean or Maloney to someone who I can save 0.5m in bank for Kun > Rooney.

      I do like it but I'm an Aguero fan personally. If I were you, I'd downgrade Kag and upgrade Tevez. Besides, you'll get Rooney in for GW2 so you're only going without united cover for one week if you drop Kagawa.

      I take it you're not keen on VDV then? TBH I think Bale is the pick of the trio anyway.

      I like the team anyway. Foster rotates well with Feds as well if you want to cash in on the DGW.

    Right, think I have decided on Tevez over Aguero.

    All along I was saying Aguero was worth the extra money as he gives you a good captaincy choice, but having looked at the fixtures I would only captain him in gw 3. Rooney away at Southampton that week seems a good captain choice, so I can live without Aguero in my team, for the first 6 game weeks anyway.

    Anyone agree?

            hmm I dont know how you see that. City broke the bank to get aguero, he also takes the penalties, that is already an extra 5-7 goals. Plus he is more nailed on. I think Aguero will score 10 more goals this season.

                I think this is a matter of opinion. And you may even be correct, I am not a fan of either- but for fantasy Aguero is way better.

              If Balotelli is on the pitch then he takes the pens. If Tevez has two goals he takes the pen to complete his hat trick (happened once).

              Difference between Tevez and Aguero will not be worth the 2.5m IMO. Plus Tevez's price is likely to rise much more as compared to Aguero's.

                You are right, but there are problems with this. If Balotelli is on the pitch than Tevez wont be playing at all. And could you remind me when that Tevez penalty happened I cannot find it from last season.

      My main worry is that he will be too prone to rotation while Aguero will play most weeks in my opinion it's risky but would work if you have good backup.

        You never know with the CL and the cups. Maybe Tevez will play the league games while Aguero will play all the CL games + most of league + most cups.

    First timer here - and a quick question, hoping for help!

    A --> Cuellar, Hangeland, Noble
    or
    B --> Figueora, Barnett, Pienaar

    Wigan and Norwich rotate perfectly, hence the thought...

    Other defenders --> Zabaleta and Fabio and Clyne (rotate perfectly too).

    Thoughts?

    Question for y'all....

    I'm happy with my starting team but it features Kompany. Now at the minute I can afford him but is there any other defender for Man City that people would rather have in not including Lescott to save some money?         Definitely? Would be handy to save the £1.5 but if he plays 3 at the back will he not favour Milner over him at right wing back? Or will he just be part of the back 3?

      That is probably why many are going for Lescott!

      Failing that Zab should have a run for first few GW at least.

        Yeah but I'd rather spend 0.5 extra for Kompany over Lescott if I'm honest. I expect he'll pick up more goals and bonus points as he did last season. Just if there's any for 6.0 that will play I'd go for them
