This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

6 – Danny Graham
5 – Mladen Petric and Billy Sharp
4 – Djibril Cisse and Sam Baldock
3 – Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Steven Naismith, James Vaughan, Bobby Zamora, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adam Le Fondre, Mauro Boselli

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Hes doing reasonably in preseason which led us to think he might play. But he should be behind Kebe (injured) and McCarthy(or a similiar name) in the pecking order.

The general consensus seems to be that Demel and Tomkins are the most likely to play whereas the others have stronger competition for a starting place.

I must say i am seriously considering Tim Howard over DDG

Will score well over a season in an Everton team that should be busier up field...

More importantly, it keeps a valuable Utd spot free depending on how they set up

DDG + 6.5 for a spurs nailed on defender is the same price as vidic and friedel, hence me opting for the latter.

probably 0.5 more but still worth it for the nailed-on-ness IMO.

As for attacking potential I think Vidic has as much as any spurs def, unless vert proves he can be vermaelen 2.0 in the prem.

I'm tempted to go for 3 Chelsea + 3 Reading and 5.5 left in bank.

This way I could offload any of these six for the top points scorer after GW1 and GW2, thus taking full advantage of price rises.

    Crazy?

        I wouldn't advise this, though 🙂

I've gotten it this year and already the stats available have helped me pick my team with no regret. I'm not dependent on them but its really helpful so far and I presume it will continue to be once the matches start.

Is Tevez AND Aguero overkill or will they both score enough goals/assist/bonus points in the same team to make them both worth having?

Not overkill, but there will be tricky away games when you might wish you had a bit more variety - you just have to hope the easy home games make up for it.

I wouldn't. Not only does it complicate picking a captain between them, it makes it more difficult to rotate your captain. If you have Aguero, Rooney and Bale (for instance) you'll always have a big hitter as captain for an easy fixture and are more likely to double-up on big points.

Is it possible to play a Chelsea defender in GW3 knowing they won't play so they will be replaced by a mid allowing for a 2-5-3 formation?

Would appreciate any views on my team with £2m still in the bank - want to get off to a better start than last year!!

    3-4-3

    De Gea (Henderson)

    Walker, Lescott, Luiz (Clyne, Williams)

    Sinclair, Allen, Guthrie, Hazzard (Lallana)

    Torres, Rooney, Pogrebnyak

Going for the more Reading / Chelsea players in GW1&2 - then swapping Pogrebnyak and Hazzard for either Moses and Tevez or Suarez and Moses

    Cheers!

IMO none. I'd rather have Torres out of them all. Reason = personal preference.

If I had to pick then Hazard simply because he plays further up the pitch. Difficult one.
