This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

6 – Danny Graham
5 – Mladen Petric and Billy Sharp
4 – Djibril Cisse and Sam Baldock
3 – Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Steven Naismith, James Vaughan, Bobby Zamora, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adam Le Fondre, Mauro Boselli

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Mid priced mid field Madness?

    Snodgrass Brunt Mata Taraabt Nzog

I dont trust any 4.5s 5s or 5.5s to be nailed on and a decent source of points.

    What you think?

I think your better off finding a couple cheapies that rotate well and upgrading Snodgrass or Brunt.

I think it's awful personally. Way too much risk. No one knows really whether N'Zog or Taarabt will bring in the points, Brunt is questionable as well. Don't really know anything about Snodgrass, and Mata will be competing against an incredibly deep Chelsea midfield.

Not really as Giroud is a different type of striker to van Persie which will make the 3 behind him more able to support him as opposed to relying on him.

He looks a proper target man who will knock down balls left right and centre for them.

Can see Podolski, Cazorla and Walcott benefiting much more than if van Persie played there, if van Persie played there they would need to load the bullets now Giroud will be like a battering ram for them to feed off.

I'm really being swayed now towards 1 big hitting striker and 2 mids - at the moment there seems to be a great deal of value out there.
    eg
    Tevez
    Podolski
    Bent
    Defoe
    Suarez
    Jelavic
    All less than £10 m
Surely 1 big hitter and two of these is looking good?

Interesting angle on some of the questions. Do you believe that some people may have difficulty answering them because of previous or current acts of bullying. The bully often makes the victim feel they are in the wrong, so may not answer truthfully. Just thinking out loud!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping as it is online that it will allow for people to be honest as it will be anonymous. It also doesn't ask for any judgement of the acts - just focuses on behaviour as a criteria rather than intention.

I understand you point - I'm rolling it out in schools later this year so will bear it in mind.

Why thank you so much! Just what I had been hoping for!

Arsenal have poor fixtures, so I don't see Verm being worth his price tag for the first few weeks at least. Especially as Jenkinson will probably have to play causing them to concede dozens of goals. Not sure Shorey is nailed on. If RVP goes to United I think Kagawa will lose a lot of game time and play much deeper, so probably not worth his 8.5m.

Maybe downgrade Verm and use the money to upgrade Kagawa to someone like Mata?

Hey, just a few more decisions need to be made. Aguero was in my team from the start but I have slowly came round to the Tevez idea.

    A) Aguero + N'Zogbia
    B) Tevez + Cazorla
    C) Tevez + N'Zogbia and (2.5m to spend on defence)

I wanted to take a risk on Cazorla, but I have a hunch N'Zogbia is going to do really well, and he has great fixtures. This would also allow me to re-evaluate Cazorla's place in my team once I have more information on how he will be used and Rsaenals fixtures improve.

    A, B or C?

Great signing and has impressed in pre-season. I had him in my team but I am struggling to see where his fpl points are going to come from so have swapped him out for Guthrie (mainly for the DGW).

A legend like Boselli? Good defensive mids do not make for legendary fantasy players.

I had something similar but have downgraded Bent to Petric/Graham and balanced my side up a bit.

      Bale and vdv
      Ram and mata

Too much IMO. If chel or tott fail it'll cost you. That's where the saving is.

If RVP would sign for United before the GW1 deadline that would make selecting my team a whole lot easier. I have no idea whether I should leave a certain amount in the bank and what not.

    First RMT advice needed...

I see many have opted for Federici in goal - is this purely due to the DGW?
Anyone know of this years equivalent to Simpson yet? :p

    Vorm (Jussi)

Rafael Gibbs Cashley (Hutton and Barnet)

    Hazard Yaya Pienaar Britton (Guthrie)

    Torres Rooney Tevez

    any thoughts greatly appreciated churs
