Having escaped any major injury concerns from Saturday’s action, Sunday has brought us a major worry with Sergio Aguero hobbling from the field after just 9 minutes of the clash with Southampton. While he walked from the pitch with assistance, seconds later he was stretchered from the sidelines.

The Argentine striker, well backed by Fantasy managers going into the Gameweek, appeared to twist his knee in a challenge with Nathaniel Clyne.

Aguero is currently owned by 32% of Fantasy Premier League managers, with 35% ownership in the Sky Sports game.

The latest from the City medical staff was that they were described as “cautiously optimistic” on the prognosis of Aguero’s injury. According to Sky Sports’ reports, the striker will undergo a scan at the club once the injury has settled when a more conclusive opinion of the problem can be gained.

Roberto Mancini confirmed post-match that his striker would undergo further scans with a full prognosis likely within 48-hours.

“I am worried about Sergio because anything around the knee is dangerous and this injury was so strange. We will have to wait, but we are not sure exactly what the problem is at this point.”

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

i bet those who did the torres to rooney early transfer with their 2m are feeling a bit sickly..could have saved 1.5m by doing the aguero to roo 😉

Protection is given to players who either get red carded or injured. This means they need 2.5x the normal transfer amount to drop in price.
Since Aguero is owned by 32% of players therefore needs a hell of a lot of transfers to go down. Around 150k transfers.

Makes me laugh how all summer long, everybody on this site was planning all their transfers in advance, up to GW 10, for example.

I said all along how dumb it was, cause of injuries, form, transfers etc

The big plan all summer was Torres out in GW 2 for Rooney, then what do u know…

Utd buy RVP 2 days before the season starts & Aguero gets injured 7 mins into the season!!

These big fantasy football planning for GW’s in the future, only serves one purpose, cures your boredom at that point.

You are all a bunch of muppets.
