Sunday’s action brings an end to our first weekend of the season – a breathless 3-2 victory for Man City providing a fitting conclusion. Here’s our regular Members article, picking out some of the key stats from the weekend’s games…
-
1126 people have already transferred Downing out. I guess they were disappointed with his returns compared to last season.

RE: Cazorla
Sounds perverse but remember this was a travelling Sunderland, who have been diabolical in pre-season. See how he does against an actual team before hatching plans (either way)Open Controls-
You'll say the same with every team.
You basically want us to play Barcelona away before praising him.Open Controls-
Haha. No, I just read some high fallutin' stats with accompanying comments and thought - whoa, let's be realistic here. If he did well against a defence that hadn't seemed to be on the ropes recently then I'll pay attention to those stats.
Disclaimer: my wife is a mackem so for safety's sake alone, I want them to do wellOpen Controls

Equally this was Arsenal that were lacking sharpness and have barely played together - the game was slow paced and sunderland parked the bus.
On another day he could have had a field day, looked their best player by a country mile.Open Controls-
Gervinho wasn't far behind. He was our close second best player.

7th position in FPL and some pocket money from paddy p! Thanks Ivan!

Despite only scoring 1 pint i was really pleased with Zabaleta today. unlucky not to be amongst points.

Is it a wise move to save my transfer until next week?
It would give me more options, as I could change 2 players & it would give me another week to monitor potential players.
On the other hand, I may miss the boat...Open Controls-
it all depends on whether you have a pressing plan for it.
ATM I am saving mine, plan to use 1 next week then have 2 for after internationals to cover off any injuries that may occurOpen Controls -
I always like to save a transfer whenever possible. Opens up so many options the following week

want to bring petric in before the price rise, but he has a horrible fixture next week. any good options for 6.0 or less that are not going increase in price? Lambert?
Open Controls -
Cazorla to Michu worth doing?? Arsenals fixtures suck
Open Controls -
Was Rickie Lambert not fit to start today or is Adkins a manager who rotates his team a lot?
Open Controls -
37 points with 6 to play (and 29 on the bench!)
Anything in the 50-60 point range would be an acceptable save of face.Open Controls -
Price rises could get ridiculous this year if this site is anything like representative of the general playing public! Calm down people!!

As a Sunderland fan i'm pretty shocked that Mcclean got the 3 bps, he certainly had an off day compared to what he can do, Cuellar would have been far more deserving. Bodes well for being a bonus magnet, especially for when he actually plays well.
Open Controls -
For those selling Torres tonight, chill out. He is nowhere near dropping and Rooney/RVP are nowhere near rising. You have days before you need to worry.
Open Controls-
What about Tevez rising for Aguero owners? 61 percent currently. I have a day atleast correct?
Open Controls-
-
Cheers. Is what im thinking.

+1

Finally
Open Controls -
A bad united result and a Torres brace on we'd will cause mayhem. 😉
Open Controls-
I'd LOVE it!!

Will Ramires play on Wednesday against Reading?
Open Controls -
What is up with FISO? 170620 NTI is an insane amount to trigger a price rise. Isn't it usually about 1% of total players or do they know something we don't?
Open Controls-
It needs recalibrating, should be more like 10% of that. It seems ok for drops but not rises at the moment.

hmm, apparently Liverpool are preparing a bid for Adam Johnson. That's him back off the radar then.
Open Controls-
Must be great being a Pool fan. First, they get their a*se handed to them by WBA, then they wake up to news they're signing Adam bloody Johnson.
Open Controls-
He'd be good for us and anyone else. Wouldn't touch him for fpl unless things change dramatically.
Open Controls-
I wouldn't touch him in FPL at Liverpool
If at Sunderland on the other handOpen Controls
-
-
Do you really know if he's any good though? How many times have we seen him play.
Open Controls-
well a lot at Boro, a fair few times at City. When he plays he usually gets a goal or an assist at a minimum

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Open Controls -
My thoughts exactly!
Open Controls -
Still a gold mine that lad.
Open Controls-
15 Million or 20 million plus Downing. 😉
Open Controls
-
-
Great player. Would rather him be at sunderland though.
Open Controls

So if the Ferdinand injury rumours are true how do Utd line up tomorrow??
DDG
Rafael Carrick Vidic Evra
Valencia Cleverly Scholes
Kagawa Young
Rooney
??
Basically, Im wondering whether to keep Petric @ ManU next weekend??Open Controls -
any value in baines him and pienaar linked up well in the past on the left side
Open Controls-
Not right now, but maybe when fixtures improve
Open Controls
-
-
Thanks lads. Waiting for tomorrow to see what to do with Aguero and Torres. What i like is Aguero out also gives me the flexibility to get in RVP in.
Open Controls -
Right, who else out there has Rooney tomorrow night?
Tumbleweed.Open Controls-
Kagawa, on your scouting, I took him over Yaya, so I want 7 points minimum
Open Controls -
TonyV
Open Controls -
Yep i do 🙂
Open Controls -
Nah. Cant see them doing much. 1 nil smash and grab
By Everton.....Open Controls -
Yep. Got bored of the 'saving £2m to buy him' talk so got him for the start. Saves me a transfer headache too.
Open Controls -
Yup I do
One guy in ML has him captained. I suspect he will be leaving it there all seasonOpen Controls
-
-
Guy in my league has Riise, Michu and Petric on his bench and none of them will come on his 11 have played!!!!! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Open Controls -
Tevez owner and United supporter but feel sorry for Aguero. Quality player. Get well soon.
Open Controls -
Im thinking of doing the following transfers:
Pienaar to Michu
Graham to Petric.
Which one would you do or would you wait another week?Open Controls-
Step away from the computer!
Open Controls -
Not sure Petric horrible game next week and dropping one swan in order to get another is a sideways move costing 4 points
Open Controls -
I am thinking of doing Petric to Graham just btw. Yes, PETRIC to GRAHAM. Do neither! Maybe Pienaar to Michu.
Open Controls -
Thanks guys. Ill leave it for now.

Was so nice seeing Liverpool getting thumped on Saturday after hearing all the "top 4" talk. Anyone agree with this though?

2 CS on my bench. Still though, I can't complain.
Open Controls-
I got one off it, but Vorm stays there.
Me and Vorm dont get on!Open Controls

So - Mancini wants more £s to spend, despite urinating a few Million down the drain with Rodwell - what role did he have today?
The have Milner, De Jong and Barry who could have easily done the same thing today - but probably better?
The squad is vast, yet he obviously has an eye on a few names? And despite St's going 2-1 up today City were impressive in possession 81/19 percent Sky quoted for 2nd half upto 80th minute - with what they have they will still be hard to take that Title off.Open Controls-
Rodwell is a long term investment. He'll come good. De Jong is due to leave any day now and Barry is injured. Milner isn't an out and out CDM.
Open Controls -
Should Agueros injury prove serious then it could cost them the title. After winning city the title surely he is entitled to make purchases he feels necessary.

Chelsea fixtures after there blank just got a whole lot better this weekend. It's got me thinking
