The first gameweek of the season concludes tonight at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea look to take an early lead at the top of the Premier League with victory over Reading. Their commitments in next week’s Super Cup brought this fixture forward, and the Dugout Discussion opens in anticipation of delightful double-gameweek points.

The team news for tonight’s encounter is in, and the sides will line-up as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, Mata, Hazard, Torres.

Reading XI: Federici, Gunter, Pearce, Leigertwood, Harte, Karacan, McAnuff, Guthrie, Gorkss, Pogrebnyak, McCleary.

Both teams make two changes from their opening day line-ups. For the hosts, Ramires has recovered from the illness that kept him out at Wigan, with Ryan Bertrand making way, and Gary Cahill replaces the injured David Luiz. Reading replace Hal Robson-Kanu and Adam Le Fondre with Jem Karacan and Garath McCleary.

Enjoy the action as it happens in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

I'm not sure how Pogrebnyak is valued at £5.0m, looks really good value. Not getting him in anytime soon but if I need to save some money in the future you can bet he's an option!

Reading getting into dangerous positions. They'll win unless Chelski tightens it up at the back. They don't have the mental toughness and resolve of Citeh.

    So what's the best move?

    Torres to RVP

    or

    Mata to Bale or Kagawa?

Guthrie looks a proper good player... I'll have no worries at all playing him for home games. Currently sharing all set piece duties with Harte, and making some great runs forward. Bargain!

He gives owners options, but not a starter. Based on his first game this could be an anomolie and at 4.5 I would think he's a bench warmer for most managers?
