Has a stitched Wayne Rooney made things simple? Have we already got the template attacking lineup? Certainly Robin Van PersieтАЩs goal, coupled with the injury to Rooney that looks to have sidelined him for a month, suggests that the source of attacking points at United is settled. Unless, of course, youтАЩre committing to the slick trickery of Shinji Kagawa over Van PersieтАЩs pure goal power.

CityтАЩs Carlos Tevez surely has another spot up front reserved for him and, while Fernando Torres is doing his upmost to cling to our affections, Eden HazardтАЩs irresistible form surely means that we have a preferred route to ChelseaтАЩs flowing attacking points.

After just two weeks, a combination of Van Persie, Tevez and Hazard appears to give the very best coverage of potentially the three most potent teams in the league.

You can argue around this тАУ Kagawa, Samir Nasri and Torres all offer the alternatives but, right now, while these words are typed, IтАЩm struggling to see past this new holy trinity as the most powerful combination.

Throw in Michu, Steven Pienaar or Mauroanne Fellaini тАУ perhaps dabble with Danny Graham up front while SwanseaтАЩs fixtures remain favourable, or even Emmanuel Adebayor to cover TottenhamтАЩs attacking threat, and the template after Gameweek 2 begins to look solid.

As we discussed in the ScoutCast this week, there will be new names emerging that will threaten to break the ideas we have now but, in all honesty, itтАЩs difficult to see Van Persie, Tevez and Hazard being anything other than season keepers; barring injury.

It canтАЩt really be that simple and yet the twist of fate that saw Rooney first benched and then stretchered down the tunnel, almost rubber-stamped matters. There will surely be thousands scrambling for Van Perise, even more suitors for Hazard after another bout or returns from this eveningтАЩs victory. Meanwhile, Tevez has Liverpool in his sights tomorrow with a clear run of appearances while Sergio Aguero recuperates.

If you currently sit on all three, congratulations; please fight back the smugness. If youтАЩve none of the above, cling to the hope that thereтАЩs naivety in these words and that these power houses will falter. Either that, or scrub up for some serious squad surgery.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Maybe you guys can settle an argument for me. I was watching the man utd and newcastle games with some man united fans last night. They were insisting that all of man utds bench players would walk into the newcastle first team. I said not a chance (apart from rooney). In fact, several of our players (tiote, cabaye, colo, krul) would get into the man utd starting 11. One of us had biased blinkers on. Who was it?

Bear in mind that Bale crosses a lot, and that with Defoe up front he had no-one to aim at. With Adebayor, Bale has a target, an I'm expecting both to start firing with easy fixtures for the next few GWs

Nasri oalso may be rotated out.

However if your changing BAle to Nasri to get the cash to upgrade from Zog to HBA, I'd say go for it

Bear in mind in general to make taking a four point hit worth it, the player has to score 4 more than the player being replaced.

I'm not sure how much spare cash you have, and I'm assuming you've already made a trade, but I would prioritse Defoe. He's unlikely to start next, and there are many players out there who could get you at least 4 points.

i honestly think it just depends how shitty your team is. if you've lucked onto at least a few form players and not many total misjudgments (i.e. non-starters) then don't even consider it. if you've completely ballsed up then ok, maybe.

Need China Mag's Tevez (C), Nasri & Santi to score lesser than 13 points.

Doesn't look good for Chelsea, does it? The Super Cup clash has taken the energy out of my team - need a good break.

    Confused between Lescott and Baines.

    Szczeney, Bego

    Lescott/Baines , Rangel , Cuellar, Hughes, Clyne

    Bale, Hazard, Michu, Pienaar, Kaca

    RVP , Tevez, Petric

Should I just get Baines instead of Lescott or should I downgrade Bale to adjust Baines in place of Rangel. Thanks.

tricky question. i wouldn't downgrade bale, but i'd want both baines and some city defensive cover in there.... tough to do that with that team though.

for starters i'd consdier zab instead of lescott.

Fellow DeadZoners, need some help on this.

    DDG
    Zab-Cuellar-Demel
    Bale-Kagawa-Michu-Larsson
    RVP-Tevez-Graham

    Subs: Federici-Terry-Fabio-Guthrie

0 in the bank, 0 FT

Plan to get Hazard GW4, but would have to downgrade Terry and upgrade Bale/Kagawa for a hit.
Any suggestions to the easiest path to accomplish this?

Take the hit now or in GW4? Who to bring in for Terry, etc.

    Cheers guys.

you might consider this to be unbalancing your team or something but, personally, i'd probably downgrade terry to a 4.0 and swap larsson for hazard. kagawa is now nailed on for a while and looks great, bale has great fixtures coming up despite obvious reasons to distrust spurs right now, i wouldn't dare lose either of them m'self. i think it's more important to have all these guys in there than to have a solid clean sheet prospect in there, but maybe that's just me. i'm always front-loaded.

just keep in mind that, according to the ticker, chelsea's fixtures from 6-13 are the worst in the league. hazard looks fantastic but who knows how he'll fare against a world class defense or two.

then again, i would say that, i transferred him out after the first game of gw1 :'(
