Has a stitched Wayne Rooney made things simple? Have we already got the template attacking lineup? Certainly Robin Van Persie’s goal, coupled with the injury to Rooney that looks to have sidelined him for a month, suggests that the source of attacking points at United is settled. Unless, of course, you’re committing to the slick trickery of Shinji Kagawa over Van Persie’s pure goal power.

City’s Carlos Tevez surely has another spot up front reserved for him and, while Fernando Torres is doing his upmost to cling to our affections, Eden Hazard’s irresistible form surely means that we have a preferred route to Chelsea’s flowing attacking points.

After just two weeks, a combination of Van Persie, Tevez and Hazard appears to give the very best coverage of potentially the three most potent teams in the league.

You can argue around this – Kagawa, Samir Nasri and Torres all offer the alternatives but, right now, while these words are typed, I’m struggling to see past this new holy trinity as the most powerful combination.

Throw in Michu, Steven Pienaar or Mauroanne Fellaini – perhaps dabble with Danny Graham up front while Swansea’s fixtures remain favourable, or even Emmanuel Adebayor to cover Tottenham’s attacking threat, and the template after Gameweek 2 begins to look solid.

As we discussed in the ScoutCast this week, there will be new names emerging that will threaten to break the ideas we have now but, in all honesty, it’s difficult to see Van Persie, Tevez and Hazard being anything other than season keepers; barring injury.

It can’t really be that simple and yet the twist of fate that saw Rooney first benched and then stretchered down the tunnel, almost rubber-stamped matters. There will surely be thousands scrambling for Van Perise, even more suitors for Hazard after another bout or returns from this evening’s victory. Meanwhile, Tevez has Liverpool in his sights tomorrow with a clear run of appearances while Sergio Aguero recuperates.

If you currently sit on all three, congratulations; please fight back the smugness. If you’ve none of the above, cling to the hope that there’s naivety in these words and that these power houses will falter. Either that, or scrub up for some serious squad surgery.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Repost as well...

Fellow DeadZoners, need some help on this.

    DDG
    Zab-Cuellar-Demel
    Bale-Kagawa-Michu-Larsson
    RVP-Tevez-Graham

    Subs: Federici-Terry-Fabio-Guthrie

0 in the bank, 0 FT

Plan to get Hazard GW4, but would have to downgrade Terry and upgrade Bale/Kagawa for a hit.
Any suggestions to the easiest path to accomplish this?

Take the hit now or in GW4? Who to bring in for Terry, etc.

    Cheers guys.

depends if you think the player you're bringing in for the hit will score better than who he's replacing this week or not

also you might wanna take a look at your h2h opponents in ROE and determine which week would be better to take a hit perhaps

No way. Your team is basically what i am aiming towards for gw4. Just need to get in RVP, Pienaar and Hazard.

So i think you are fine, got good captain choices, good potential, good team cover (although a CHE player wouldn't hurt, Hazard for Valencia is what I'm planning).

thinking ivanovic to baines for a hit this week

.4 in the bank. since ivanovic rose i can sell him for a .1 profit which would allow me to get baines at 7.0 before he rises.

think hazard will be 10.0 by next week so the .4 isn't enough anyways imo and alongside hazard, baines is my top priority

Not worth a hit because West Brom do look good. That said, if it allows you to get Hazard in GW4, do it.

    Quick question!

    Mata --> Bale
    Ivanovic --> Baines
    (-4 points)

What do we think of these trades? Been the plan all along but just want confirmation.
Maybe Vermaelen instead? I still think Baines though..

definitely baines. the problem with that move is you'll want to get hazard in after the blank. can you just do ivanovic to baines and then mata to hazard next week?

Unfortunately not, I'll be 0.2 off.
Hopefully Hazard's price drops but I doubt it! People are still bringing him in and Chelsea's not even playing! 😀

Not an owner. But I'm fairly sure he'll start.

That o.g yesterday wasn't entirely his fault. Vidic came for it and didn't get it. Plus DDG has made some fairly good saves so far.

Ok so Im getting Hazard in next week no doubt..

Will take a hit to remove Terry in order to free up cash for Hazard swap.

Take the hit now or GW4?

    And for:
    A) Saylor/Colo
    B) Williams/Rangel
    C) Ridgewell

    Ok Deadzoners. Help needed here.
    GW3 team as it stands
    Jussi/Bego
    Clyne Lescott Rafael
    Bale Yaya Michu Pienaar
    RVP Torres Petric

Guthrie Gorkks Ivanovic. 0.5 in the bank

    Thinking of doing
    1) Torres>Tevez & Ivanovic>Eve/Swa/Sun/WBA defender (sunderland keeping in mind DGW)
    2)This affords me to do Yaya>Hazard GW4

Any better plans? Which defender for Ivanovic? Someone who rotates with Clyne and Gorkks or someone from simply a good defense like Eve/Swa. Cant get Baines as i need to raise cash for Yaya>Hazard

Yes yes. But the overall plan? Need to downgrade Iva so that

        1) I dont start with Clyne GW3
        2) Get a rotating/good defender to raise funds for Yaya>Hazard

    DDG - Fed
    Hangeland - Zab - Cole - Cuellar - Clyne
    Mata - Bale - Yaya - Guthrie - Noble
    Torres - Tevez - Graham

2FT, what to do? I need to get rid off useless Mata by replacing him with Kagawa? I'm not into Michu-wagon as I already have Swansea attacking coverage..

Really need some advice and help lads please. WC has to be played this week I think.

Current Team with 4.5 in bank:
    DDG/Federici
    Cole/Zab/Demel/Hangeland/Stevens
    Bale/MataNZogbia/Kac/RobsonKanu
    Tevez/Torres/Graham

Thinking of bringing in RVP/Hazard/Pienaar (lose Torres) or
    Kagawa/Cazorla/Pienaar (keeping Torres).

Both options keep Bale and have some other minor changes.

Slightly leaning toward the latter which would spread coverage over all top teams Kag/Caz/Pien/Torres/Tev but I really need help!!!
