The window has slammed shut, it’s time to settle after the frenzy and take stock on how the landscape has changed. We’ve opened up our Surgery Chatroom to allow you express your views, doubts and queries in real-time.

We almost need the international break to recover from what was the most active transfer window in memory. In case you missed it, we provided a summary of the key deals as we see it right here, although in the next week or so we’ll be breaking down the protagonists of Friday’s deadline in more detail.

Around yesterday’s transfer circus, Paul delivered the Scout Picks as normal, while it was Da Beeeez’ turn to throw some Differentials your way. All the team news was collected and collated for you right here, while throughout the week we had articles to aid your selections, including the updated Watchlist and the forward thinking Frisking of the Fixtures.

Our members enjoyed two exclusive articles, with Gareth Bale’s numbers being monitored in depth and the ICT Threat scores coming under analysis as we identified those who have provided a bark without a bite to this point.

With over 7000 in the Captain Poll once again, your armband situation is perhaps little clearer but if you fancy being confused, why not have a last minute listen to Granville and myself withering on in this week’s ScoutCast?

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I've been hit by an injury curse which killed my plan to use 2 free transfers this week to remove the Pog and one of my 3 chelsea players. So, I've got Pog, Ramires,Torres and Lampard + Ferdinand injured.

£1.5 mill in the bank and 1 free transfer this week. Basically I can field 9 men with no transfers, 10 with 1 or 11 with a 4 point hit. Would you take the 4 point hit and get 11 out?

Thinking of Ramires -> Michu and Pog -> Graham

Yeah I'd take the hit and thos are decent transfers although a bit eggs in one basket.

good move mate... both graham and michu have good fixtures coming up anyway, so you might as well do it now so that you can field 11... that's my opinion... 🙂

Absolutely. The one time a 4 point hit is guaranteed to pay part of the investment back. Without the player you get zero and with him you get what he scores - which may or may not be over 4 pts. In a normal gameweek you also have to factor in what the other player who would have played would have scored.

      Simples really.

After today, Man Utd's fixtures are:

    15 Sep 15:00 Gameweek 4 Wigan (H)
    23 Sep 13:30 Gameweek 5 Liverpool (A)
    29 Sep 17:30 Gameweek 6 Tottenham (H)
    07 Oct 16:00 Gameweek 7 Newcastle (A)
    20 Oct 15:00 Gameweek 8 Stoke City (H)
    28 Oct 16:00 Gameweek 9 Chelsea (A)
    03 Nov 12:45 Gameweek 10 Arsenal (H)

With CL games in between them.

Is it a smart move to get any of their players in?

All I am saying, is... there are players with easier fixtures that are more likely to outscore Utd players within this time frame

It's the classic form vs fixtures debate....If RVP gets in form, would you drop him from your starting 11 irrespective of the opponent? No you wouldn't, right.

So basically the general approach is that if the team is in form, but has difficult fixtures you keep only their most important player, and thus reduce the cover. That's what I'd do anyways.

I would say Utd are not in form.

I pretty much agree. My plan was to load up on them for FUL, sot & WIG and then dump them. Unless RVP or Kagawa go mental in the next two that's going to be the case. Vidic is out after Wigan regardless.

Is it worth taking a second -4pt hit to get one shot defender in for another? Can only field 10 players so wondering whether to to Gorkss—> Demel. Or could use up my last 1.5m and upgrade to Rafael

Do it? Or just run with 10 and save Gorkss for Reading’s next DGW?

    Foster (Begovic)
    Jagelka, Rangel, Demel, Hangeland (Ivanonic)
    Kagawa, Michu, Fellani (Hazard, Kalinic)
    RVP, Graham, Tevez (C)

Missing Baines, YaYa Toure which could hurt me maybe?

N'Zogbia has been a bit of disaster for me: 4 points from 2 games and 0.2 lost on his value. I wouldn't mind so much but I did exactly the same thing last year!
