[sbu_large_image] The Stock Check

City suffer more anxiety attacks but, again, overcome QPR to earn the three points with some familiar names again amongst the returns. Here’s the stock check from the day’s final encounter…

On the Up

Carlos Tevez
The overwhelming captaincy favourite this weekend, he didn’t let us down. Tevez played a part in all his side’s three goals – providing assists for the first two before grabbing the third, he currently sits on 24 FPL points pre-bonus, with the maximum looking likely. Those who opted for the Van Persie option will now have a uncomfortable 90 minutes ahead of them.

Yaya Toure
Once again, the Ivorian delivered for his Fantasy owners. Toure’s opener against QPR means he has produced attacking returns in all three of City’s games so far; cheaper than the likes of Samir Nasri and David Silva across the Fantasy games, he is proving to be the main contender from Mancini’s midfield and can expect plenty of suitors over the international break.

Edin Dzeko
The Bosnian striker has his doubters but, once again, he cropped up with a vital goal. While Tevez is overwhelming the strongest attacking option in the City lineup, Dzeko now appears to be in the box seat for starts alongside him; particularly now that Mario Balotelli is facing a month out due to an eye operation.

Going Down

The City Defence
Three games, no clean sheets. It’s a bit of a worry for owners of Vincent Kompany and Joe Hart – both are priced highly across the Fantasy games due to their near guaranteed selection but with City continuing to leak goals at the back, the pair could well be shed from squads as we reassess our line-ups. Rotation is a constant worry – just ask Gael Clichy owners – while Pablo Zabaleta was withdrawn with a “slight” hamstring twinge.

Djibril Cisse
Dropped to the bench to make way for a change in shape, Cisse, along with Adel Taarabt, Junior Hoilett and Bobby Zamora, looks far from secure as Hughes shuffles his attacking options match to match.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Pleasantly pissed, had a rather odd cigarette, captained Tevez instead of RVP. Thought QPR would have taken a real hammering, 7 players starting for the first time, Diakte out, , I would worry for Man City. Play like that against Real Madrid and they will get shredded. BTW QPR topped the table for most players signed! We may get relegated, but you can never take that away from us !!! Oh and my little gem got of the mark, Snodgrass! Hope ye are all havin a top evening 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Nah. QPR will be just fine i think. Granero looked great and the sooner M'bia starts and kicks Ferdinand out the team the better!

Agree on Man City, their defence looks terrible so far this season.

The fact Fletcher PPG is 5.5 while playing for Wolves the last 2 seasons really makes him sound pretty good, yeah?

Although it's tough to get Graham out with his fixtures.

A nice statistic to find! The one disappointing sign i saw was his price is considerably more than his seasons at Wolves...
His goal scoring record iirc is quite good for a low/mid priced forward but not incredible, with sunderland's fixtures being quite good and a double gw at some stage he definitely is one to watch imo, maybe switch from Graham when Swansea's form and fixtures decline

    Evening all,

I understand the £££ advantages of using my WC this coming GW and doing some wheeling and dealing, and the gambler in me says lets do it. However, I'm also quite happy with what I have and can see myself reverting back to much of what I currently have, with minor changes in the coming weeks. So do I...

    a) Make some £££ and use my WC

    or,

    b) Save my WC and not make any £££

    DDG - Fed
    Demel - Williams - Zab - Verto - Cuellar
    Bale - Kaca - Yaya - Michu - Pienaar
    Tev - Graham - RVP

Words of wisdom and opinions gratefully received....

    (lost in last page)

    Jaaskelainen Federici
    Cole Zabaleta Rangel Cuellar Gorkks
    Hazard Bale Kagawa Michu Maloney
    Tevez Adebayor Graham

    +1.2

    Do I

    a) Wildcard
    b) Do a transfer and if so, who?
    c) Sit tight.

My initial thought is to wait until the int. break after GW7 to WC. I’m even tempted to keep both Ade and Bale for 2 more weeks (I’m getting one of Bale/Ade out after GW5 rergardless)…

    Pienaar, Bale, Fellaini, Dyer, Kagawa

I think your team has a nice balance to it with plenty of experienced FF scoring players in it.
My main concern is Ivanovic and Zabaleta who i believe will be subject to rotation, especially after internationals and CL fixtures.
Maybe spot some teams who you think will do well/poorly over next 6 weeks or so and switch your team slowly that way

Its not luck as such, he is always in the right place at the right time.

I have Dyer instead and havent yet been bothered by it

Thinking I should hit the wildcard button to sort this out:

    Mig, Federici
    Zaba, Rafa, Chico, Boyce, Cuellar
    VDV, Kagawa, Pienaar, Michu, Guthrie
    RVP, Tevez, Graham

Don't like the keeper combo, Zaba is under threat from injury/Maicon/City's defence being doing pants, Chico is suspended, VDV is gone, want Nolan over Pie and want Berba over Graham.

    Time to push the button?

Just tinker a but and take a 4 point hit. What about when you really need to WC?

"want Nolan over Pie and want Berba over Graham.", these arent necessary, so ignore for the moment.

Zaba, Chico and VDV need removing. Sunderland vs Liverpool isnt a bad fixture to double up on Sunderland, its not like Suarez can score anyway. So I wouldnt say a wilcard is a necessity.

Think a WC would be an overreaction...your team is still good...very good

      Thanks for the responses.

I don't know, had my concerns this morning and things didn't go well today. Think I can put something better together and make a bit of cash too.

My cousin played FPL last season and didnt pay a blind bit of notice to price rises, Sam City..............he won the whole damn thing!! so I wouldnt go rushing into wildcarding purely for ££££'s
