[sbu_large_image] The Stock Check

City suffer more anxiety attacks but, again, overcome QPR to earn the three points with some familiar names again amongst the returns. Here’s the stock check from the day’s final encounter…

On the Up

Carlos Tevez
The overwhelming captaincy favourite this weekend, he didn’t let us down. Tevez played a part in all his side’s three goals – providing assists for the first two before grabbing the third, he currently sits on 24 FPL points pre-bonus, with the maximum looking likely. Those who opted for the Van Persie option will now have a uncomfortable 90 minutes ahead of them.

Yaya Toure
Once again, the Ivorian delivered for his Fantasy owners. Toure’s opener against QPR means he has produced attacking returns in all three of City’s games so far; cheaper than the likes of Samir Nasri and David Silva across the Fantasy games, he is proving to be the main contender from Mancini’s midfield and can expect plenty of suitors over the international break.

Edin Dzeko
The Bosnian striker has his doubters but, once again, he cropped up with a vital goal. While Tevez is overwhelming the strongest attacking option in the City lineup, Dzeko now appears to be in the box seat for starts alongside him; particularly now that Mario Balotelli is facing a month out due to an eye operation.

Going Down

The City Defence
Three games, no clean sheets. It’s a bit of a worry for owners of Vincent Kompany and Joe Hart – both are priced highly across the Fantasy games due to their near guaranteed selection but with City continuing to leak goals at the back, the pair could well be shed from squads as we reassess our line-ups. Rotation is a constant worry – just ask Gael Clichy owners – while Pablo Zabaleta was withdrawn with a “slight” hamstring twinge.

Djibril Cisse
Dropped to the bench to make way for a change in shape, Cisse, along with Adel Taarabt, Junior Hoilett and Bobby Zamora, looks far from secure as Hughes shuffles his attacking options match to match.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Help me pick a WC team -

    DDG

    Rangel - Saylor - Zabs

Michu - Hazard- Yaya - Dembele

    Teves - RVP - Graham

    Bench - Kac - Demel - Clyne (1.3mil)

    Sound good?

Sub keeper? Kac isn't first choice so switch to Guthrie (not until tomorrow after Guthrie's price drops though). Dembele not much of a goalscorer, better to get Nolan. Zabs suddenly seems like a problem with Maicon and City looking shaky at the back.

I have graham but I don't feel great about it, he's the main striker and they've scored 10 times and he's had 1 goal and no assists,
Do you want a city def ,who may be injured/rotated/and also conceding, a tinker here and there and you could have kagawa instead of dembele
      up to you

Liverpool on the up at GW 6 - maybee Sterling for Kac if he plays tomorrow. Forget Zabs, he is at risk from Maicon. Us the funds to upgrade graham. In 10 Swansea goals, hes been involved in 1 and not taking many shots. If going for Tott cover forget Dembele, he's not fantasy material. Maybee fitting in Barfa instead.

Just some suggestions - but for certain Kac, Zabs, and Graham all need to come out of squad.

    A few quick questions:

    1. Should we be worried that Graham has only scored 1 goal when his team has scored 10?
    2. Santon or Saylor?
    3. Ridgwell or McAuely?
    4. Newcastle def or WBA def

I guess Swansea scoring 10 goals can only be a good thing but I hope he starts getting amongst the goals.

Looks like Saylor is the go.

Sorry about the repost but still undecided. Current team is:

    DDG / Fed
    A Cole / Zab / Colo / Ryan Barnett / Gorkss
    Nasri / Bale / Michu / Pienaar / Noble
    Torres / Tevez / Graham
    Plus £3m

    A) Bale to Hazard to avoid another price rise
    B) Bale to Kags
    C) Torres to RVP, but would need to downgrade someone (prob Bale or Nasri)
    D) Upgrade Ryan Barnett
    E) Wait till after International Break….

Hazard’s next 4 fixtures are spaced really close together. It is possible that RDM could give him a rest and give one of the numerous midfielders at Chelsea a chance to play.

I wasn't happy with it this morning and felt I could do with changing a number of things. Add in a bad day, having Chico, VDV and possibly Zaba all needing to be booted and it made sense. The post GW3 wildcard went very well for me last season.

Not until people realise his attacking potential, some still consider him more of a holding midfielder sort, and thus choose Silva or Nasri over him.

I chose him as he did this alot last season, I always avoided him as I thought he was garbage as an attacking threat, and he wasn't. Plus he's their most important player it seems, if you consider the blip they had last season when he was out injured. And all this, from a Barcelona reject.

Yaya is effective than Silva and Nasri for now.
Other plus points, he is mancini's first XI, proven attacking mid than kagawa, michu compareable in role and physical built, seldom injured & he shoots around the box, he shoots free ball at central box, he makes crosses, he plays wing, he enters from side box to provide strike ball in the middle box and cheaper than bale.

There will be fewer rises than you expect because people don't bother transferring much away from match weekends. Also there's a 0.3 limit on rises per GW for each player. Not many players will change in price by the 0.2 you need to increase your selling value. 1m selling value increase would be a good result.

After looking at the fixtures I think I'm going ride these 2 weeks out and save my wildcard I've done Bale to Hazard if he comes back injured then so be it rather take that risk leaves me with a team of

    Ddg/Fed
    Clyne/Cuellar/Zabaletta/Demel/Cole
    Hazard/Kagawa/Michu/Noble/Kacaniklic
    Rvp/Tevez/Graham

Right to save it or would a wildcard be recommended? Should I take a hit to do something Noble for Pienaar maybe?

Nice team mine is the same minus cuellar who I am considering getting in. i just did bale - haz but I had .5 spare due to clubs over cuellar. Do not wildcard, no need. Either do zab(rotation risk and no cleanies anyway) to saylor/ridge/swansea 5.0 or noble before he drops to sterling/Guthrie (id go sterling as u will rarely play him anyway and if given a chance there is a far bigger upside.

WC activated, how is this for a first dabble.. caps are newcomers

    FOSTER, BEGOVIC
    RAFAEL, Ivanovic, Cuellar, Demel, Fonte
HAZARD, KAGAWA, HBA, EL AHMADI, Michu
    Rvp, Tevez, Graham

    0.3 left

    - Solid GK pairing, great rotation and VFM
    - Rafeal potential risk at 5.5, but allows for 2 big hitters. Giving the SOT/WHU/SUN rotation more of a chance, working ok so far got 2 CSs from Demel. Tempted to chuck in Gunter but the rotation isnt good.
    - El Ahmadi will be switched to Guthrie after his price drop

    Is my midfield too heavy?

      Good keepers.
Rafael and Ivanovic won't be nailed on until January. Try and get the defence as solid as possible because you don't want to be wasting transfers on it
      Great midfield.
RVP and Tevez are great for now. Double Swansea attack isn't going to work until January. Bring in someone for Graham.

I am planning on keeping Ivan until my hand is forced with Azpilicueta taking appearances off him, CHE fixtures are still handy. I am willing to hear alternatives to Rafeal though.
