Later today, we’re treated to Newcastle vs Villa and Southampton vs United at St Mary’s. With Carlos Tevez delivering on his captaincy promised yesterday, all eyes will now be on Robin Van Persie as he takes on the Saints as United’s chief goal threat in the absence of the injured Wayne Rooney.

    RVP amazing, must have player, that header was world class technique. So if you're WCing you must scrunch up your team to get him. Compared with Torres.... not much... Torres is showing signs of life, but RVP is at such a high level..

    RVP - 3 goals and missed penalty, which has to go down as bad luck for RVP(c)ers.

    Tevez - 1 real assist, 1 assist that would not have counted under the old rules or any normal person's definition of an assist, 1 flukey goal.

    Shame, as Southampton were the better team for the majority of the game. Credit where it is due though, they (United) found strength from somewhere and never gave up.

    Everyone admiring the way we play means absolutely nothing.

    Bolton had tough opening fixtures last season and look what happened to them.

    Bad defending. Bad subs. 3 losses. Bottom of the table.

    I really have no choice but to WC now. RVP is essential as is Hazard. Need to get Cazorla aswell. Disappointed with Kagawa he just doesn't seem the FPL prospect he should be.
