Gameweek four concludes tonight at Goodison Park, as Everton play host to Newcastle United. The Dugout Discussion opens to see two sides with high ambitions for the season tussle it out. The team news is in and is as follows…

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Mirallas, Neville, Osman, Pienaar, Fellaini, Jelavic.

Newcastle XI: Harper, Perch, Williamson, S Taylor, Santon, Anita, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, Cisse.

David Moyes makes two changes from the side that suffered defeat at the hands of West Brom in matchday three, with Tony Hibbert and Kevin Mirallas starting in place of Darron Gibson and Steven Naismith.

As for the visitors, Steve Harper replaces the injured Tim Krul, and James Perch and Mike Williamson patch up the defence in the absence of Danny Simpson and Fabricio Coloccini. Slyvain Marveaux is a surprise inclusion, as Demba Ba drops to the bench.

          I made the gamble on getting rid of Pienaar on Sat for the money (Berbs and Sterling) but will have to have him back for the Southampton game! 🙂

        To be fair I think there was alot of reasons before the season started to hint that Everton would start well and not have their traditional sluggish start.

      Given he has 3 at home I’m inclined to go with Foster, even if one is City

      since you have no defenders from either team, toss a coin, both are great, and yeah, no better options

    Used my WC last week, wanted to bring in Baines but couldn't fit him in without hurting the team too much. Really felt he was going to deliver today, was sure he was going to score, so went online and placed a tenner on him first goal @ 16/1 which makes me feel a lot happier about not having him in my team which makes me think, from now on if having trouble deciding between 2 players, place a bet on the player you don't pick to score anytime, if he doesn't score then you're happy for you team and if he does score you're happy for your wallet 🙂
