Having given our top ranking managers in the Fantasy Premier League game their fifteen minutes earlier this week, it’s now time to put the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game in focus. We check on our Scout League leaders, monitor the transfer trends and look to tonight’s episode of the Fantasy Football Club…

Scout League Standings

Paul Hennessy remains on top of the Scout League going into Gameweek 5. A Gameweek 4 tally of 63 points was enough to stretch his lead to 3 points, with Ben Salter back on the ascendency and sitting in second. Jonathan Lenharth and Niels Koopman retain their top five spots as they give chase to the top two.

Paul and Ben are second and third in the game overall, with Hennessy 14 points behind the leader in the tussle for the £25k first prize. A mention here for Scout Contributor, Andy, he’s currently sitting 12th in the Scout League and in 72nd spot overall: it’s nose bleed time for Goddard.

The Scout League remains on top in the League of Leagues, with almost an 18 point margin separating us from the league in second.

A reminder that if you’re playing the Sky Sports game and have yet to join our league, you can sign up to the FFScout League with this Pin: 8004519.

Market Forces

Jermain Defoe is sitting on top of the most transferred in ranks for this week, with 5.3% of transfers involving the Spurs striker – a reaction to his two-goal salvo at Reading on Sunday which helped him to a 16-point haul. Eden Hazard remains a popular target, despite drawing a blank at Loftus Road, he has taken up 4.9% of transfers in this week, with Arsenal pairing Carl Jenkinson and Santi Cazorla also seeing 3.7% and 3.5% respectively.

Interestingly, it’s Robin Van Persie who tops the transfers out over the last seven days, a direct result of him being benched for the drubbing of Wigan last weekend. Having been the most popular captain going into the Gameweek, Van Persie was transferred out in 5.7% of the deals made this week. Carlos Tevez, despite notching the assist in the stalemate at Stoke, has been the next most ousted player – no doubt to make way for the likes of Defoe in many a lineup. Tevez has been sold in 3.3% of the transfer deals this week.

Both Van Persie and Tevez remain mainstays in many squads, however, with Van Persie currently skippered by over 18% of Sky Sports managers going into the weekend. At present, Tevez is claiming 9% of the captaincies with Eden Hazard sandwiched between this pair on 10.7%.

Incredibly, despite top scoring with 17 points last weekend, Dimitar Berbatov remains on just 1.9% ownership at the time of writing.

The Fantasy Football Club – 10pm Tonight

Everton legend, Neville Southall, is shuffling into the Fantasy Football Club dressing room tonight to no doubt reminensce about his glorious Goodison days. He’s joined by boxer Tony Bellew, while Norwich stopper, John Ruddy, will be on the studio hotline with Fenners and Merse ahead of his trip to Newcastle. Listen out for this week’s tips from the “ITK” – in case you missed it, last week he delivered on Brad Guzan, Rafael and Dimitar Berbatov.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ive done my fair share of helping others today, so I would like a little advice if possible here for myself.

I feel REALLY optimistic about this week, but usually when I get this feeling it ALWAYS goes wrong and those supposed to perform do not perform, and teams supposed to smash the opposition, end up losing or firing a blank at home.

    Vorm
    S.Taylor Vertonghen Boyce

    Pienaar Bale Yaya Hba

    Graham RVP Tevez.

I have two frees so if I use one and do a straight 6.0m switch Graham for Long is that a good idea and will i still end up with 2 frees next week, since I will only have used one, and will be awarded another free next week???

I have Saylor and HBA, but almost EVERYONE is sniffing at Ba in a big way, so another option would be to shift Graham and bring in Ba and downgrade somewhere else, maybe Yaya? This would use both my frees and would leave me with 3 Newc and 2 Spurs. In fact even typing this sounds a bit ludicrous, but, I don't wanna wake up tomorrow/sunday and see Ba (19), Ba (36), Ba(67), Ba (91) on the telly.

Yes, your free transfer would carry over. If you do just one, you'll have two next week.
But if you do none, then you still have two next week.
      How about Berbatov?

Thanks! Dont fancy Berbatov this weekend to be honest. I would have to downgrade 1.3 or so somewhere else and I am not sure how to do that this week.

Ideally I would have Fletcher Berbatov and Kun up front going forward, but thats another story for another day.

          Or maybe it does...

          From the help section:
"If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer."

Keep any eye on Gallas, if Caulker nails down a spot he could be a better option. Other than that I like it. I assume you are benching Dyer this week?

Might not be a bad idea given what Laudrup has said about rotation. The only mid who seems sure to start this week is Michu

Nice team for the weekend. Its about 50/50 on who to play between Dyer & Pienaar. Dyer is probs the better choice as you have Baines in already
You could play Fox over Demel possibly too. With his assist potential and not knowing if Southampton are as bad as everyone thinks due to their poor fixtures

Not in 20/20. Each team gets 20 overs (6 balls bowled per over) to score as many runs as possible.

Test match cricket is a bit more complicated, though.

      It's quite simple:

You have two sides: one out in the field and one in.

Each man on the side that's in goes out,

and when he is `out' he comes in and the next man goes in until he is `out'.

When they are all `out', the side that's been in the field comes in,

and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get out those coming in.

Sometimes you get men still `in' and not `out',

then when both sides have been in and out

Selling Ivanovic to finance Graham > Berbatov/Ba. Who is the best 5.0-5.5m defender? S.Taylor? McAuley? Gallas? Have Foster in goals.

This would also work if Kate's snatch had been on view.

I've done Hazard, but would probably go for HBA out the three (don't have him)
