Sunday Dugout Discussion – Gameweek 5

A huge day of Premier League action sees eight sides do battle, with the ‘Super Sunday’ billing fully justified. The Dugout Discussion opens in time for the first of two televised games – the small matter of Liverpool versus Manchester United.

Despite a lot of the pre-game media attention understandably focusing on events off the field, three points for either side here will be massive. Here’s how the sides line-up…

Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Gerrard, Allen, Shelvey, Borini, Suarez, Sterling.

Man United XI: Lindegaard, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Kagawa, Nani, van Persie.

Straight after the game at Anfield, we head over to the Etihad Stadium to see the other Manchester club host Arsenal.

In and amongst those two fixtures, Newcastle United welcome the visit of Norwich City, and Queens Park Rangers take the small journey to their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

    I was relieved when Liverpool scored as it looked like my decision to play Boyce over Rafael wasn't going to cost me.

    Now, all I can say is AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

        He came very close a couple of times to scoring against Stoke the other week and the home fixtures are good. He has proved to be frustrating though.

          True, 5M is just too much for a Wigan defender for me, I know he is attacking but he doesn't actually get many attacking points.

            He did when they changed formation though. There is evidence so far that this will continue, he just hasn't delivered yet.

            I was close to saving my FT,obviously wish I did now.

      Why does it matter? I can't see Smalling walking straight into the team. Rafael is ahead at RB and Evans, Vidic and Ferdinand at CB.

    If Suarez didn't include a turn, pike, twist and scream he may get decisions...
    Arguably a penalty but he makes so much of it that doubt is shed every time
