Better late then never. In truth, there’s nothing comfortable about this one. We had some nightmarish technical issues that had me tearing at my receding hairline tonight but, we got it done. Just.

The route of the problem was a change of scenery, as Granville and I resorted to staying on home territory to record this latest episode. There was a chance it would end in tears; it almost did.

It is, at least, a bumper episode, with just over 45 minutes of myself and Granville grumbling amidst the regulars on Wednesday evening. With his three point lead at the top of our mini-league, the fact is I couldn’t bear to face my Mancunian rival to discuss the merits of an early wildcards versus points hits, lament the demise of Carlos Tevez and chat about Granville’s night attire.

Grab this online experiment here, or stream using the handy player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I just realised something a bit frustrating...on a WC and I got in Nolan hoping for a double rise...he's about 65% at the minute. It's not a certainty he'll go up but I was intending on swapping for Sterling at the last minute. But herein lies the problem...Sterling is at 77% and if he happens to rise himself come tomorrow night...It will mean I won't have the opportunity to gain that extra .1m and in a sense the whole thing will feel a bit pointless. 😀

I guess that .1m extra will go towards funding 4.7m for Sterling...it's a tad annoying though :/

Haven't checked that figures but I'd guess that based on Nolans overall points compared to Sterlings many casual players will be more likely to get him in. Especially if he got more points last week. So even though he's further away from a rise he could easily overtake Sterling before Saturday morning. Just gotta hope Sterling doesn't rise in that time.

No chance really. Not only would Nolan have to over take Sterling but he'd also have to reach 100% on a night when Sterling didn't. Otherwise they'd both go up 0.1 simultaneously and you've got the same problem

Yeh suppose. Forgetting its already Friday now, losing track of time having a few days off work ha. Still worth just keeping his eye on tonight. Neither will rise in the next couple of hours or whenever it happens so he's in no rush to do the transfer now.

Thanks, I have a bad feeling Sterling will rise but as you said more casuals will be interested in Nolan for sure and he scored last week so there'll be a late surge. It's the fact Sterling plays for Liverpool that's making him so popular...so many Pool fans out there...that's the only reason why you would get most of their players in is the allegiance...at least this year anyway!

    Hey all!

Got myself a bit of a dilemma. I made a transfer this GW taking a 4 pt hit taking out Aguero for Suso thinking that Tevez will replace him. Now that Tevez played a full 120 minutes against Villa, I've changed my mind. If i swap back Aguero again will it count as another transfer or will it get rid of the -4 pts?

    Thanks!

Just having fun - it's a legit question. I just think that, having Baines, you won't miss his points should he score big. But RVP can score, and big - and many will (C) him ... and you'll want in on that action.

RVP without a doubt. Baines is lovely to captain because he has the added chance of CS. But this week lots of people (including me) aren't expecting it to happen. Thus it comes down to attacking only and that's why RVP wins.

Gibbs is the must have defender after this weekend behind Baines imo. He's really improving his attacking threat and loves making runs into the final 3rd this season. Then there's the fact that Arsenal are doing well defensively and everywhere else there is going to be competition for places soon in defence (which should result in better performances: Sagna v Jenks, Mannone trying to continue his impressive displays whilst Sczc... is out and Mertersacer v Kos). Oh and the fixture run after the weekend is going to be really nice too.

I do agree that 2 away games isn't the best thing to look at defensively but Norwich have really been struggling for goals and if Nolan doesn't score then West Ham will too imo.

They aren't the strongest of teams that is true... but i fully expect West Ham to score. Norwich is a tougher call and Arsenal may well pick up a clean sheet there but i'm not expecting more than 1 in the next 3 games. Of course attacking threat is another argument entirely and tbf Gibbs has impressed

Even being able to confirm that you're expecting 1 in the next 3 isn't that bad from a buying perspective imo. You never know one of the teams may surprise you and draw a blank so you get 2 out of 3.

I don't follow the logic tbh.

By the same logic could i suggest that Norwich might surpirse you and you'll end up with 0 from 3 and praying for an assist or summat?

I think you're being a tad cynical tbh, the next 2 games after Chelsea are pretty sweet imo and it's kinda unfair you ruled out West Ham not scoring off the bat.

Also it doesn't matter if Norwich surprise me because one of the other 2 fixtures should cover it and still get the 1 CS out of 3 at least. At least being the important phrase from the previous sentence.

Berbs and Fletcher are out of reach without a hit, but Berbs is the only one I'd consider of those two, and I'll have to pass, not an easy game to bring him in for.

Other options are Benteke, Anichebe, Lukaku, Vaz Te, Zamora and Crouch, none of whom fill me with confidence.

Honestly, Zab is a rotation threat, and Williams play has been very poor-and Swansea is unsettled at the back.
I also think Fellaini or Pienaar would help as Everton have a great run ahead.

Start Cuellar or Rangel this w/end.Have Mignolet in the net.Cuellar seems like a no brainer but Rangel has been getting in to the box a good bit so far.0.03% chance of a cleanie though. 😕

        Same 😕
On that basis I might just have a go with Rangel.
Surely sonm defensive drills have been order of the day at Liberty this week. 😕

For me that Stoke - Swansea games is one of the easiest to predict this weekend. Can't see past a Stoke win, 1-0/2-0 Stoke is how i see it. If you think Swansea will cause them more problems then i guess you go with Rangel and spread the risk somewhat

No EVE cover this week and have already gone for Berbatov>>Graham. 4 point hit for any of the following worth it ?
    Pienaar >>Dembele (don't ask)
    Fellaini >> Yaya Toure
    Jelavic >> Tevez.
    Thoughts ?

If you feel you absolutely must have then the first option looks best

Just wait until next week and do it for free otherwise

      Chevrons are the wrong way.

Aside from me being a pedantic prick, i would get Pienaar from thosechoices

Haha, I like the player coming in first . . . Pienaar is my first choice and would probably stay in the side for awhile. Hate, hate, hate, hate points hits. Tough one for me, because I think Eve v SOT has 3-1 or 3-2 written all over it.

Hey all, got a headache with Chelsea v Arsenal. Worried about players cancelling each other out. Only question really is... is it worth it to bench a "star" player for someone less highly rated simply due to strength of opponents? I can't see many goals in Chelsea v Arsenal. Wondering if Routledge is worth a punt over Hazard or if Demel is worth a shot over Cashley Cole. Thoughts? Thanks guys

There will be many times in the season where your players play against each other, especially the "star" players as you will have more of those by default and the top 5/6 teams face each other regularly.
You just gotta grin and bare it.
Saying that...Demel should be in your team this week, maybe.

Stoke at home gives away few goals. West Ham away shouldn't take too many cs. It's not really a certain way you should do it.

      Good night.
Just stick a bottle in his/her gob now, he/she will drink it even if asleep and he/she will sleep til 8am.
Repeat this process nightly and all will be well eventually.

    A) Cazorla(CHE, whm) + Rafael/Gibbs

    B) Hazard(ars, RDG) + Saylor

    Will do Hazard -> Cazorla after GW7 if I go for B. A or B ?
