A successful 2011/12 promotion campaign saw Southampton rack up the goals as Nigel Adkins’ side finished second in the npower Championship. Having found the net 85 times last term, the Saints immediately placed Fantasy managers on alert and on the lookout for new blood for their squads. The most obvious and popular pick was Rickie Lambert who notched 25 goals in the Championship, while Adam Lallana and new arrivals Jay Rodriguez and later Gaston Ramirez have also been touted as potential Fantasy options. Even Morgan Schneiderlin – who had just two goals in almost 150 appearances coming into the season – has received some attention after his goal against Man United in Gameweek three.

    This was looking like a poor week before the Berba news.

    I may just log off for a week and see what damage can be repaired then.
    I don't want to get caught up in taking hits and spoiling my team for a week or two of red arrows.

          Just read it was 2 weeks :/, annoyed 'cos I like Berba and Jol and Fulham but I'm that guy in my league who chose Fletcher so mixed feelings about this news. My major rival chose Berba which makes things even more bittersweet.

          Yeah I prefer 3 from those options.

          If you go for 2), I'd go cheaper than Dyer and pocket the cash personally - perhaps Sterling.

            I like ramires, but i think oscar will get more and more games as the season progresses (not sure if they are the exact same positions but it cant be good anyway)

    I have no everton coverage so Tevez -> Jelly is the best transfer right?

    I like Jelavic, probably not going ot go mental like Berbs could but he is consistently up there and Everton are in good form, playing with confidence.

      As everybody should have known, he is a very inconsistent player. Although the goals scored would seem not, he was very hit and miss in Ligue 1 too a lot of the time. Don't expect 10+ scores week in, week out from him in my opinion, although he will clearly score big sometimes.
