A decidedly tepid Gameweek which saw the big guns misfire. Oliver Giroud at last made an impression, Santi Cazorla boosted his reputation, while two of the “template squad” were rejuvenated as Eden Hazard and Michu delivered. Our members can hoover up all the data from the weekend action and, as usual, we’ve picked up the numbers that have caught our eye so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I think Paul Weller live Wildwood is a great song;

I love Amy Winehouse Lilly Allen The Specials The Jam, I think I'm getting old.

I'm even loving the Bee Gees (god bless Robin) and Islands in the stream.

It's the international break for gods sake.

The more I dwell on it the more I see this transfer plan coming to fruition for me:

    1.HBA > Nolan/Jarvis
    2.Fellaini > Silva
    3. Fletcher > Berbatov
    4. Gibbs > Sagna, Rafael > 4.5/5m (Wilson/Santon)
    5. Jarvis/Nolan > Ramirez/Morrison/Walters

These are all circling around my head...

Nolan/Jarvis for (SOT wig) then Ramirez/Morrison/Walters (6m range)
Silva (long term investment, good fixtures, citeh access)
Fletcher > Berb (maybe a little sideways if they both continue good form? More to do with functionality/saving a few pennies...can see Fulham being more free-scoring too)

    Any good advice??

I actually do like that plan of yours... but what do I know?

I had a plan just like that one a few weeks ago, and I thought it was good, but now it seems to be shite... so I wouldn't listen too much to what I say...

I really want to get that bi-atch Ivanovic, but I probably won't...

I have to stay strong in the face of adversity... so no more uncontrollable weeping from me...

Well, like they say, the best-laid plans of mice and men...often go awry. I think I'm playing like a mouse currently...cautiously...with great fear of the big cats...

If you're going to get Ivanovic I'd get him soon as his price will go through the roof...although I don't like their fixtures and chances are you might be chasing points and he may not score again for ages...Baines is more reliable!

I think I actually am refusing to even consider Ivanovic because of my bitterness at not getting him for GW1...bloody John Terry! 🙁

I'm looking to get rid of HBA as well, looking for a differential.

Adam could be decent...but is he worth the extra few quid over Walters...who is a striker lets not forget...

Adam missed a sitter against Liverpool...just saying...

Adam Johnson is appealing but until he shows some form and scores/assists some I'll be reluctant to take the risk...Fletcher is the only one bothering to shoot right now...and he's starved of chances strangely.

Was feeling pretty confident coming into gw7 with these lot,

    Hazard (c), Bale, Michu, Barfa
Suarez, Tevez, Ba (double Newc as I reckoned United will concede)

Down 90k ranks, third red arrows in a trot and leaped on the ML by guys who don't even watch matches. Think I should just give up on this game.

    Morning all

So, another sh*te week and I'm getting caned by the clever boys in my mini-league who sold RVP a few weeks ago.
Could it be time to think the unthinkable and actually consider selling him? United have great fixtures from week 11 until Christmas but is he actually going to play in those "easier" games. I'm beginning to have my doubts. I'll probably keep him but it's getting increasingly harder to take what really aren't value for money returns.

Morning ILA. I'm going to do just that but another low score for Robin while Ba, Torres, Tevez/ Aguero, Jelly, Giroud and even Crouch all offer better value for money is going to be hard to stomach.
It's not really the points, it's the value for money he doesn't offer that's starting to bug me.

Its a tough decision and one I'm facing with the likes of Ba knocking on the door. I'm holding for this week but its his last chance, thats for sure. The main reason I'm holding is because I'd be left with 9.2 in the bank which would be of better use with an extra FT after the next GW.

Another frustrating owner, I am. I, too, start feeling that he doesn't deserve his price tag and I could reallocate money to spend elsewhere, eg getting Ivanovic who will continually damage me with his high ownership.

      Keeping him for Stoke though.

    Jaas - Foster
    Boyce - Ridgewell - Baines - Demel - Lowton
    Santi - HBA - Gerard - Sterling - Bale
    Aguero - Lambert - Podolski
    +0.2 in the bank.

Boyce hasn't been doing anything. Kick him out?
Demel injured for a bit, how long? Might just keep him if it's 3 weeks.
Get Begovic in for Jaas? Better rotation, apparently.

Giroud has arrived on the scene, shall bring him in (for Podolski)- depending on Wenger's plans for Walcott and Gervinho.
    Have two free transfers.

I see you , like myself have the w ham keeper AND Demel . His injury provides a good excuse to remove him. Im doing Demel to Boswinga this week , Bos a little more expensive (4.9) but i think its better than having two west ham players at the back.
Shame because Demel looked good , however Boswinga by all accounts is playing in a very attacking fashion , QPR some good fixtures coming up to

Alreet lads. Was I watching with toon (+ beer) goggles last night? The way I saw it, after man utd murdered us for the first 15 mins, when they could have been 3-4 up, the rest of the game we more than matched them. If we had saylor and colo playing, the first two goals almost certainly wouldn't have happened, and the result could have been very different. But the commentator at the end said that Man Utd well deserved a 3-0 victory. Really?

They definitely deserved to win...Newcastle were beaten after 15mins...it was only going to get better for you after that...did well to put the pressure back on Man Utd but I think when any team goes 2-0 up so early they know they just need to see it through...Newcastle certainly didn't embarrass themselves...were very much on top for good parts of the game but didn't threaten enough...unlucky to not get that goal from the Cisse header...might have changed things. Pretty tense match all the way through...made for good viewing.

Fair assessment. Man utd deserved to win for sure. I just don't think that 3-0 was a fair reflection. And not surprising when we only had one of our first choice back five! Would have been very interesting if the cisse goal had been given.

Well if 3-0 wasn't a fair reflection then 2-0 was...the game was sewn up in 15 mins...there was no way back really...

            Mr Mag,

Newcastle were beaten due to the defence.

Ben Arfa needs to fire in such games which wasnt seen.

Next gameweek derby seems to be good game for toon once Colo and S taylor return.

This will be after United smash stoke at O.T that is. Vorm and Hughes in for next week then Stokes fixtures are mouthwatering. Stoke and Arsenal have amazing run ahead, and City, Everton and Spurs have winnable fixtures (Spurs gets a bit tough though, so may do Vert to Luiz or Vert to Lescott/Kolarov soon).

Does Shawcross not get forward much for set pieces anymore? I see what your saying. Shawcross was huge a couple seasons back. To be honest I can't remember the last time he scored though.

His attacking threat is extremely limited...Plus Stoke have Crouch to aim at for corners/set pieces so the big guys probably aren't as important in that respect. Wilson is cheaper and nailed on...

guys I need help with my team, i have a very important match this week

    foster
    demel, rangel, baines, hughes (jenkinson)

    peinaar, hazard, bale, cazorla (guthrie)

    rvp, fletcher

I'm thinking peinaar > nolan for one transfer but can't think of a second. thoughts? (I have 0 in the bank)

Your defense needs work to be fair. Demel out a few weeks, Jenkinson rotation risk with Sagna back and regardless of this weeks ridiculous bonus points, Hughes cant keep clean sheets (im stuck with him for now, but hope for a lucky scoop this next gw home to villa).

If I WERE U I would pull the trigger and boot RVP to free up loadsa money.
