Sunday brings the curtain down on Gameweek 8 with two fixtures, headlined by this afternoon’s Tyne-Wear derby. With three red cards in the last four encounters, this should be a tasty affair, even though Lee Cattermole is out of harm’s way through suspension. Following that, attention turns to Loftus Road, where in-form Everton test the mettle of basement dwellers QPR.

There should be plenty on offer for Fantasy managers with the likes of Demba Ba, Steven Fletcher, Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar in action, then. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to catch your reaction as the day unfolds.

The team news is in from the Stadium of Light and is as follows:

Mignolet, Gardner, Rose, O’Shea, Cuellar, Colback, Larsson, Johnson, McClean, Sessegnon, Fletcher.

Sunderland are unchanged from their Gameweek 7 loss to City, though Phil Bardsley makes the bench for the first time this term.

Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez; Ameobi, Ba

Alan Pardew makes four personnel changes from the side that lost to United in Gameweek 7. Tim Krul, Danny Simpson and Fabricio Coloccini all return from injury, while Shola Ameobi replaces the below-par Papiss Cisse up top. Mike Williamson keeps his place at centre-half, with Steven Taylor handed a bench role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Baines has 23% ownership, you have to wonder what the other 77% have been smoking.

hey i need some advice, i have cech as my only gk. henderson the 4.0 sub

    1 - get a sub gk for a -4 , ex begovic.
2 - leave cech alone, and get wilson for a non playing defender (bennet)
    3 - do nothing

i want to get mata or bale for hazard, thats why it should be for a hit

    my team:
    cech
    rafael demel clark baines bennet

    Anybody else bailing on Bale?

    Bale ----> Mata

Thinking about taking a hit and grabbing Mata before the bandwagon jumps onboard.
Already took my two free for next week.

I know they've got United at home next week.
    Question is form over fixture?

I give up. The amount of similar knee jerk reactions here unbelievable. Bale plays Southampton, Mata plays United. Both of them are in form. Bale is not going to have a child every week, Mata is not going to get a brace every week. You need Mata to better Bale by 4 points, which essentially means a goal assuming Bale gets nothing to be succesful.

Anyone else thinking that Charlie Adam is the best offensive option for Stoke considering their fixtures?

I was dead set on Walters but I got a feeling Owen could see gametime and thus Walters may drop out so looked at Adam... Not decided on it as yet though but I think Stoke coverage is a must

Coleman 4.8m is looking like a decent pick.

I don't think I'll ever get him as a midfielder with memories of his glory days classified as a defender.
