Fantasy managers have this afternoon been given notice of another double Gameweek to prepare after Sunderland confirmed the date for their rearranged home clash with Reading. Initially scheduled for Gameweek 2, the clash was called off due to a waterlogged pitch but has now been rescheduled for Tuesday December 11 – presumably affording both clubs a pair of fixtures in Gameweek 16.

Sunderland will now welcome Chelsea and Reading to the Stadium of Light in the Gameweek, while the Royals also have a trip to Southampton on their agenda. Although the Black Cats have been disastrous in front of goal in recent weeks, their backline has impressed at home – just two goals have been conceded in three matches in front of their own fans. Simon Mignolet and Carlos Cuellar (priced at 5.0 and 4.5 in Fantasy Premier League) are likely to garner extra attention, then, though with United, City and Spurs as three of their following four opponents, stocking up on the likes of Steven Fletcher could be a risky tactic. Martin O’Neill’s men do face a trip to QPR in Gameweek 15 and a trip to Southampton in Gameweek 18, perhaps making Fletcher that little bit more enticing.

For Reading, without a single clean sheet this season, investment at the back looks a risky option. Brian McDermott’s men have, however, seen an upturn in attacking output since rolling out a 4-4-2; they have scored seven goals in the previous three matches they have used this formation. Recent Watchlist candidate Jobi McAnuff, who has assisted five of his side’s 11 goals, will surely be earmarked by many; coming in at 5.1 in Fantasy Premier League, the winger looks a real contender, while Pavel Pogrebnyak (now down to 4.7 in FPL) is the only forward to start every game for McDermott’s side so far.

Reading do, however, face United at home in Gameweek 15 and then play Arsenal and City in the two Gameweeks immediately after the double, suggesting any over-investment in their assets could be come at a cost.

Final (I think) WC team – comments very welcome:

    Begovic
    Cameron Sagna Wisdom
    Pienaar Bale Mata Morrison
RVP Tevez Defoe (Ba soon after)

    Mignolet, Lallana, Fonte, McCartney

You've got to get Baines in there. I'd also lok into getting De Gea/Rafael/Evans.

I'd look to get something like this:

        De Gea Begovic
        Huth Baines Sagna Nelson Gorkks
        Cazorla Mata Lallana Taarabt Sterling
        RVP Ba Jelevic

Should be affordable as i still have 1m left over.

I would downgrade one of Morrison, Pienaar and Lallana (All of whom I like by the way) to Maloney/Sterling and put it into defense. There's no point in having an extra million burning on your bench every week, and Fonte/McCartney aren't going to get you any points, and Wisdom is a rotation risk.

Right then which of these do people think?

    a/ Suarez and Valencia
b/ RVP and Noble (or 4.9 mid)
    c/ Rooney and 6.6 mid

I was leaning to a/ but getting alot of RVP love on here....

Ditto! I was looking to get Ba but ...

I'll just bench him or Nolan and deal with 'em next week. Gives me more time to evaluate other options. Plus not sure I want to take a hit to get ridd. Done Demel > Cuellar this week.

Been thinking about the whole RVP vs his old club thing this weekend...I actually think he'll be even more eager to score than normal. He might have a bit of sentimentality left for his former club...but if he failed to score...the abuse he would get would be even worse than if he were to score a hat trick. If he were to win the game for Man Utd then it would silence everybody and make them realise he hasn't just come to Man Utd to win trophies...but to win those trophies by scoring season-defining goals.

Yep. GW14 coincides nicely with Everton's fixtures going downhill so Jelavic to Fletcher is an easy swap for me.

Looking at the GW16 fixtures there are no standout fixtures in terms of captaincy, Fletcher it is.

    DEF Shawcross/Demel/Baines/Ridgewell/Nelsen

    MID McClean/Kightly/Puncheon/Morrison/Bale

    FOR Tevez/RVP/Jelavic

Not enough goals there - I'd shed all of those bar Morrison & Bale. Think Lallana, Taraabt (perhaps), Sterling

    Foster (Jaaskelainen)
    Baines, McAuley, Hughes, Ivanovic (Rangel)
Santi Cazorla, Yaya Toure, Fellaini, Michu (Nolan)
    Defoe, Crouch (Ba)

    FT:1 Bank:2.2M

    options:
    a) Santi>Bale
    b) Santi>Mata
    c) Yaya>Bale
    d) Yaya>Mata
    e) Santi & Yaya>Bale & Mata (Hit -4)

I would take out Yaya. He hasn't been as involved, and this isn't likely to improve once Silva is back.

I think Rooney will score well over the next few weeks but RVP will certainly outscore him by a big margin.

Mata should also be picked over Hazard but given the 120 mins run out yesterday, the transfer is less appealing now.

With UCL and that friendly coming up for Aguero, those transfers sound good to me.

I can play McCarthy over Howard (if I still have him), and Cuellar is fine, not sure how I can get Pog out as Piennar and Nolan have good fixtures..

    Foster (Begovic)
    Baines - Riise - Gorkss (Demel,Davies)
Bale - Michu - Santi Cazorla - Walters (Guthrie)
    Tevez - RVP - Ba

what would you change? Demel/ Ba might not play, Davies & Guthrie are crap

want to hold of and do Riise & Davies out Sagna & 4.5 defender in for free nextweek

    sit tight this week?

I'd probably get rid of demel or davies this week, so you can start someone better than gorks?
