Despite the playful twitter tamperings of Gary Lineker, Robin Van Persie takes his place in an unchanged and attacking United lineup for today’s early kick-off against Arsenal. The Dutchman starts, then, and wears the Fantasy armband for many as he faces his former club for the first time.

The lineups from Old Trafford are predictable. Both sides remain unchanged with Sir Alex Ferguson keeping faith with Ashley Young on the flank, opting to keep Javier Hernandez in reserve, with Danny Welbeck out of the squad. As for Arsenal, they keep Theo Walcott on the leash as they put out the starting XI that struggled to break down QPR last weekend.

Man United: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, van Persie

Arsenal: Mannone, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Santos, Arteta, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud

      For anyone tuning in, I am a City fan and Uniteds penalty was FOR ONCE a genuine penalty. Cazorla had his arms up and it hit him in the forearms/hands. Clear penalty from a ref who was looking right at the incident.

      Wilshere got 2 yellows, Cleverley could have done but was given a warning. Wilshere didnt get a warning. Again, even as a City fan, the fact is Wenger should have taken Wilshere off and Fergie DID take Cleverley off.

      Arsenal have been absolutely crap from start to finish, especially at the back and up front, United have just gone about business as if its a training match. They could have been 5 or 6 up but my guess will be 3-0 finish.

      RVP has been booked, and COULD have been booked for blasting the ball in the net after the whistle went for offside.

      P.s Oh yeah....SHREK MISSED ANOTHER PEN!!! 🙂
