Despite the playful twitter tamperings of Gary Lineker, Robin Van Persie takes his place in an unchanged and attacking United lineup for today’s early kick-off against Arsenal. The Dutchman starts, then, and wears the Fantasy armband for many as he faces his former club for the first time.

Our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is now open and available to collect all the joy and agony of this match and the day’s other six encounters, concluding with City’s visit to West Ham this evening.

The lineups from Old Trafford are predictable. Both sides remain unchanged with Sir Alex Ferguson keeping faith with Ashley Young on the flank, opting to keep Javier Hernandez in reserve, with Danny Welbeck out of the squad. As for Arsenal, they keep Theo Walcott on the leash as they put out the starting XI that struggled to break down QPR last weekend.

      yeah, work in progress though. Can't expect to bring in all those new players and hit ground running. Look at Kagawa, difference is utd can afford for him to take a year to settle in.

      At least the rot may have stopped now in terms of players leaving.

    😆 And so it begins. History repeats itself. I've learned my lesson when I sold Bale for Hazard after GW3. These players, including Cazorla, should be considered season keepers. It's just a matter of time when they'll deliver.

    Some thoughts about United

    De Gea - Unlucky not to keep a CS, made a good save
    Rafael - Good going forwards as usual, assist to add to his tally
    Evans,Rio - Simple and effective
    Evra - Goal from Rooney's cross, still suspicious positioning defensively
    Cleverely - Quiet game and a yellow
    Carrick - Dodgy passing, about 6-7 hopeless long balls
    Young - Worked as per usual, did not offer much FPL wise
    Valencia - Great threat going forward (one to keep an eye on especially with Nani off form)
    Rooney - M.o.M for me, involved in everything going forwards and included a lot of tackes too - dodgy penalty today. I still think he'll be first on FK's and PK's in future games
    RVP - Could have had 2/3... worth for money imo

    Nice goal from Santi too!

    Come to think of it, Cazorla maybe got himself a bp and probably shifted the 3bps from Evra to RVP (C). So the CS I lost from Rafael might still equal a net 3 points. 🙂
