Granville may well be exotic but he’s not Manchurian, despite what the spellcheck told me a few weeks back. He’s also a happy man. Winning on all fronts, he’s dishing out “one helluva beating” to yours truly right now.

Reveling in his position of power, the Hungarian Mancunian brings me to task on my jerky knee transfers, with the regular ScoutCast favourites scattered around that particular discussion.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Have quite the headache, should I go with Begovic & Huth or Jussi & Reid? West Hams home form is obviously very good, guess I'm just looking for a second opinion or two, anyone?

Seems like the company line is to play one of each if you have them, but favour WHM.

I would probably play Jussi and Huth in your situation, for the offensive potential.

Is Santi -> Silva a worthwhile move this week with the below squad? Feels like a very 50:50 transfer, although with RVP, Berba and Ba up front, I can't see me getting Aguero or Tevez in at this rate, which means Silva is the only MCY coverage I'd be interested in. The lure of Giroud or Walcott from GW15 when Arsenal's fixtures get really good is also very tempting, and I'm not sure I'd want to double up if I still have Santi in my team. The alternative is for me to save it this week.

Sorry, just seen that (and replied too 🙂 )

I think it's a marginal call, but there are a few more things in favour of it than against it, imo.

        FOR:
Silva rested midweek, Santi perhaps fatigued by long travel back from Panama
Silva has an 'Easy' home fixture this week
Gives an extra few weeks to decide on the best Arsenal coverage (looking at Walcott/Giroud), which I think is essential from GW15.
Avoids losing value on Cazorla (probable this week)

        AGAINST:
Silva doesn't have great medium term fixtures
North London Derby has historically had a lot of goals in it
Extra flexibility next week with 2 freebies

Re the money saving of having Giroud/ Walcott over Santi: Yep, I agree with you - that is very tempting and I'm looking at it myself (I'm favoring Giroud at the moment). But I'd like to monitor all of the Arsenal options over the next few weeks before making a move in time for GW15 (when the fixtures look really good) - until then I'm happy to stick with Santi.

There will be goals in the derby, hopefully Cazorla plays a part. It's up to you, I can see why you'd want to. Silva is my favorite player, I just can't afford a straight swap. I'm not all too worried about it though because City hasn't been scoring a lot of goals yet.

      That's what I'm doing.

Cazorla plays to deep and has done for the last few weeks, whilst he'll weigh in with an assist or goal every now and again, I think Silva has the greater potential.

Only thing with Silva is that he seems to be more injury prone and the rotation threat from Garcia, Nasri, Barry, Toure etc. but if he keeps performing like he did last week, you'll be on a winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I'm thinking of doubling on SUN defence from next week by doing Jaask -> Mignolet. Striker spots are precious right now, and SUN look woeful going forward, so I think that rules Fletcher out for me. The fact they have decent fixtures from next week up to the DGW makes it feel less of a solely DGW punt. Doubt I'll be getting any Reading cover in, fixtures are bad and they have a tough DGW.

Found this throwaway comment at the bottom of a Guardian article:

"Theo Walcott, who suffered a muscular injury against Fulham last Saturday, faces a late test. The winger did not train on Thursday."

Reckon he'll start a fresh and fit Ramsey then and use T-Dubz off the bench if needed.

      Possibly, possibly.

Walcott isn't that good anyway, he doesn't have a footballing brain and despite the fact that he is admittedly, getting better, he's nowhere near the finished article that we all expected.

I think away from home he's a liability, he seems to be better in the home games though.
