It’s been a week of uncertainty for Fantasy managers as international withdrawals saw the possibility of “phantom injuries” casting minor doubts over members of our squads for the weekend. Those doubts still linger, although we have had reassurance on some of the big names.

They don’t come much bigger than Robin Van Persie who, according to Sir Alex Ferguson, “should be fit” for United’s trip to Norwich, though Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans remain doubts.

Arsene Wenger has plenty of injury worries, with Mikel Arteta and Olivier Giroud added to his list of doubts this morning.

Roberto Di Matteo has fewer concerns – John Terry is expected to be sidelined for around three weeks with the knee injury sustained against Liverpool last Sunday, while Frank Lampard is again unavailable due to an ongoing calf problem. Staying in West London and Mahamadou Diarra is a “big doubt” for Fulham’s home game with Sunderland, while Kieran Richardson is out for around 10 days with a hamstring problem.

QPR welcome back Fabio and Kieran Dyer to their squad, though Bobby Zamora is struggling and Ji-Sung Park remains sidelined with a knee problem.

Swansea and Newcastle both have a stack of injuries going into their clash on Saturday, although there was no mention of Demba Ba’s shin injury from Alan Pardew’s list of worries, leading us to accept that he’s available for the meet with the Swans. Michael Laudrup has a number of concerns, some of which he’s keeping to himself, although there’s a suggestion that both Leon Britton and Ashely Williams are the latest knocks to trouble the Dane’s preparations.

We’ve collected all this and squeezed it into our team news section and added our current predicted lineups for the weekend ahead. You can keep in touch with the very latest via our twitter feed as always.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Owners of the soon to be banned trilogy that have 1 or 2 injuries and a WC remaining, at a guess.

I have Pienaar, fellaini, baines, suarez and sterling (Calm down, calm down)

I am going sterling because he is playing up front with Suarez. I think Suarez will be the one scoring but hopefully sterling will pick up an assist or 2.

I have no faith in Pienaar and only see him getting 1 assist (if he's lucky). I would have sold him this week if I had a free transfer. Baines and Fellaini are more than enough blue fire power

You seem like you really, really want to do Cazorla > Silva. But you're worried that it will be Arsenal 8 - 6 Spurs and Caz will get 2 goals and 4 assists. My thinking exactly! But I did it anyway, I've watched the last 2 Arsenal games and he was playing too deep in both of them. I might regret it thought, it's a 50/50.

It has been playing on my mind all week and I have posted a few times about it. It is normally a high scoring game though so yeah, I am a bit scared of doing it. Silva at 9.3 is just great value. Remember last year, every man and his dog had him!

Agreed. I always planned to get Silva in at his lowest price, and after being unimpressed with Caz in the last 2 games, I did it. However, Caz is still a class player, and could always score points if he gets forward more.

form between berba and rvp is a wash at this point, so you'd have to go with the WORST road defense in the league (sunderland) in terms of berba's bread and butter, the effort from inside the box.

I have Foster in goal with a Green as my second keeper.

I've already used my transfer to get Fellaini in before his price rise.

Play with no keeper for the second week running or spend 4 points and get him out?

    Current team is:

    Foster

    Baines Hangeland Demel

    Bale Mata Fellaini Taarabt

    (Green Cameron Gorkss Maloney)

I'm still in the Paddy Power cup so taking another hit could seriously harm my chances if it doesn't pay off.

At some point, you're going to have to make a transfer to get a GK. If you think you'll only make the one transfer next week, i.e. GK, then I'd leave it. If you're not sure then I'd make the switch. There's a good chance that whichever GK you get will get at least 2-3 pts this week anyway for starters.

You had so much passion in that comment that you said it twice. I was thinking more long term with the Fellaini signing as I might not have been able to afford him otherwise and keepers values don't fluctuate as frequently.

For those in panic about Giroud's fitness please note that Wenger's press conference was held prior to the training session where his fitness was assessed.

There are now pics of Giroud on the official Arsenal website training with a smile on his face.

He'll be playing, starting and scoring tomorrow 🙂

suarez, tevez, berba...there are several to captain ahead of rvp this week (i see your feeling and raise you plenty of stats that show the same thing--see http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2012/11/16/sky-sports-focus-11/comment-page-5/#comments)...

but aguero--on the back of a full match and round-trip flight to saudi arabia--isn't one of them.

    Bego (Ruddy)
    Baines Demel Simpson (McAuley Cuellar)
Mata Cazorla Morrison Ben Arfa (Maloney)
    RVP Suarez Lambert

    Which Option seems best
Lambert & Ben Arfa ---> Ba & McAnuff/ some other mid less than 5.7 (can't seem to find anyone else)
Lambert & Ben Arfa --> Hernandez & Lallana/ some other mid less than 6.4 (can't find anyone better)
Above 2 are for a -4 hit or save the transfer ?
