Some big names went tumbling out of the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII last weekend. None more so than Granville, who was handed an early exit after losing narrowly to Lrf, while fellow Scout contributor and our man in charge of the Suspension Tightrope, Anorak, also tasted defeat – he lost out 53-76.

Mark remains in the hat for the Third Round after sailing through 57-37 last time out and former world number one Iyad Zahlan also progressed, winning his tie by a four-point margin.

    he plays s a wing back gainst the bigger teams or away from home, but ws used as a forward 3 in the latter stages - suso ws tken off nd sterling moved to the right, and enrique on the left wing. cant say it will stay like that though.

    He`s playing on the wing now. Rodgers has been experimenting with Johnson on LB and Enrique on LM. Gives enormous flexibility and defensive stability and tbh i have really enjoyed it and see no reason for him to revert while they`re performing well.

        I cant see Rodgers changing it up now tbh. The way its set up now our left side looks really strong, both defensively and offensively. And if he gets dropped, he`ll go back to LB and Wisdom will be the one to make way. But like i said, as long as we/he keeps doing well, i dont see any way he gets dropped from the team. We really dont have any other options either, i mean. Downing? Assaidi has yet to impress/reach full match fitness, so yeah.

What do you think of my team, help advice and improvements are welcomed.

I know i need to improve my defence but i dont know how to get the funds to do it, i was thinking Mertesacker > Cuellar giving me 0.6 and then i could do Nelsen > Jones/Wisdom for a -4 and have 0.1/0.0 left which would sort my defence situation but dont really want to take a hit

really confused. 0.1 could be integral to my plan on getting suarez rafael morrison in the coming few weeks.. to fund all this i need ruddy in for howard. ruddy is going to rise this week. howard is on my bench this week as baines is starting and im sick of doubling up and facing dissapointment. just feel a bit weird about a wednesday tranfer of howard to ruddy.. anyone care to convince me.. i could probably survive without that 0.1 but if im going to do it friday why not now. dont think ruddy will be my starting keeper anyway its simply for the price savings.

help please im doing my head in trying to get suarez as i keep delaying & he keeps out scoring Ba

i was all set to do Ba >> suarez

but now i think Berba might be better to let go as short term fixtures favour Ba plus with Petric playing berba will score less & who knows if he will steal pens as well

so simple question over next 3-4 wks who will score more BA or BERBA?

  Ba scored last match, and is playing Southampton. Doesn't feel like the best time to pull the trigger. I think Berba is an excellent pick as, and I don't think playing with Rod or Petric will hamper his output much. He'll still be on pens.

Pondering Foster > Ruddy as a money-making exercise with the knowledge that he is the last remaining bargain keeper with any form. I could get Guzan or Federici (or someone of their ilk in the jan window) But I think Ruddy would be an excellent acquisition long term. Do I just be patient and get Ruddy in the jan window or do I avoid paying .5/6/7m more for him then?

  Tremmel is a serious option and takes us almost up to the winter WC as long as Vorm is true to his word and doesn't rush back from his latest injury set-back.
  
  I did Juusi > Tremel to free funds a couple of weeks ago. That said, I had 2 free transfers and no pressing issues.

    When is Vorm back though? Do we know for sure? I can understand you doing that with Jussi because of fixtures but I'm not certain yet because Foster has 3 great home games coming up.

  I'm in your exact situation. I think it's a possibility, he's overdue a rest. Its got to be Demel for me, hopefully he'll get a start now that he's fit but not too optimistic after o'brien's performance. I think QPR are in for a hammering thought, so it'll likely be one point either way if Rafael doesn't play.

    Last night was a good chance to give him a rest, I was pretty disappointed to see him play 90 mins. I'll also have Demel higher up on bench and take a point rather than have Nelsen get nothing or a minus score.
