Just as Paddy drew level, our treble came in. A goal for Luis Suarez, coupled with an assist for David Silva and a City clean sheet in the win over Villa handed us another timely windfall and put us back in the black. Our bookmaker friends in retreat, we missed out on the Flutter last weekend but it returns for the midweek menu, with Paddy looking to prise back our winnings…

First up for Wednesday’s matches, we look to a name that’s been circulating the community for the last 48-hours: Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez. He’s on many a wishlist following a goal and assist return against Newcastle, and we’re willing to back his form with a few quid. Paddy are dangling 15/2 on another Ramirez goal against Norwich, packaged with a second consecutive Southampton cleanie. Ramirez is in fashion and even the Saints back four are playing with some confidence. We’ll take Paddy’s offer for £2 of our tenner.

Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon is another name garnering attention following the weekend events. A potential template breaker in midfield, Sessegnon is showing glimpses of last season’s form just in time for the Black Cats’ double fixture in Gameweek 16. After a goal and assist return in the damaging defeat to West Brom, can Sessegnon find the net when Harry’s boys visit the North-East? Paddy are offering 6/1 on a Sessegnon goal with a Sunderland shut-out against QPR. Again, we’ll chuck a couple of quid at this, with Sessegnon there or thereabouts for the Picks for the Gameweek.

Villa’s Christian Benteke is another player we’ve got a lot of time for: he’s proved integral to Villa’s threat in recent weeks and is certain to trouble Reading’s faltering back line tomorrow evening. Paul Lambert’s side are far from prolific, but we fancy them to break the shackles against the Royals and, with Paddy offering 4/1 on a Benteke goal with a Villa clean sheet, we’ll take that for £3 of our hard earned.

That leaves a handsome £3 left for the treble – having won out on this the last time around, we’re going into this one with confidence. Paddy have 10/1 on a Robin Van Persie goal against West Ham, a Juan Mata assist when Chelsea face Fulham and a Stoke clean sheet against the wounded Magpies.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Being deadly honest I dont use any myself. Ive learned that simplicity is the best way and stats can overcomplicate your choices. Of course this is not condemning usage of such blogs/stat sites, merely advocating my methods. Fixtures/ basic stats and stability in a starting role are the first things you should look at, before investigating set piece takers perhaps. Ive been v lucky with most my transfers this season by keeping it simple. I rarely read the pieces on this site due to time constraints so at least i make my own mind up, live by the sword etc. Oh and captain RVP!

If you want Suarez, I'd save it. No point getting him for Spurs, especially with that yellow dangling over his head. If he gets through that game ok, get him in, if he gets booked, you've got Ba for Wigan.

Christ Arsenal have a stunning set of upcoming fixtures. All 'winnable' by their standards up until january 13th against City. I know they are inconsistent but i feel if u can fit 3 Gunners in your squad you will reap the benefits. Personally ive gone Jenkinson, Santi Claz and Giroud. Never been a vocalist on multiple Arsenal players ff wise and this season hasnt changed my views massively but i have a great feeling. Is jenk nailed on?

I respect your opinion, although the golf 'joke' was rather lame... Anyway! With re rotation, the only player im 'worried' about, if worry is thd right expressiön, is Jenk but ill cover myself defensively. Giroud is hitting form and Caz, is undroppable, we all know that. Its a risk i have to take as im slowly after declinimg from circa 30k to 75k in a few gws so need some random boost.

'crap around christmas'. Not saying u are wrong but 1. What are you basing this on! 2. You cant base a teams chances on results of that team (with diff players , and against diff oppositiön each year!) from former years. 3. This favourable fixture list comprises 8/9 gws over the best part of 2 months, so hardly 'christmas period'..

Well Caz has been a mainstay for most of season 4 me so it would be illogical for me to drop him now with 8 or 9 potential golden gws on horizon. (and bad for his self confidence!!) Giroud is a wildcard pick for me, just feel he is hitting form, hope i'm proved right. And walcott?? Although he should be, that guy is anything but the best Arsenal prospect. E.g. Where was he saturday and when is he signing the contract.

I didn't see the newcastle game, but Sterling looked quite involved and dangerous this weekend (and the past few for that matter). Ba had no supply, and it doesn't seem like that will change this weekend. Its why I'm thinking about benching Berbs too -- no creative mids to get them in dangerous positions.

Berbatov was Fulham's only threat against Stoke.

Chelsea playing more defensively against City is not proof that they have tightened up though with Benitez in charge you may be right.
