David Moyes will give Leighton Baines “every chance” of making the trip to City after suffering a hamstring twinge in the 1-1 with Arsenal in midweek. Antonio Valencia remains sidelined for United ahead of their trip to Reading, Nani is ruled out for another month, though Nemanja Vidic could return for the midweek Champions League clash with Cluj.

Arsene Wenger will be without Laurent Koscielny, while Bacary Sagna is a major doubt head of the Swans’ visit. Theo Walcott’s ankle knock will be assessed although we expect him to figure – the winger was pictured training earlier today. Michael Laudrup’s side have been dealt a blow of their own, with the in-form Pablo Hernandez set to miss out with a muscle injury which could keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.

Andy Carroll is nursing a knee knock ahead of the early kick-off with Chelsea, who will turn up at Upton Park without John Terry, Frank Lampard and Daniel Sturridge.

Kieran Richardson will return for Fulham – Bryan Ruiz and Alex Kacaniklic remain on the sidelines but are expected to return to training next week. Tony Pulis remains hopeful that Peter Crouch will be able to play in the midlands derby with West Brom – the forward is seeing a specialist after losing a few of his teeth in the midweek win over Newcastle.

We’ve collected all this in our team news section and added our current predicted lineups for the weekend ahead. You can keep in touch with the very latest via our twitter feed as always.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Not true. An OOP defender is a whole different proposition. Bale was classified as a defender a couple of seasons ago, and was a great captain prospect towards the end of the season.

He is not bale and even when bale played in defence he had a decent goal scoring record, Enrique doesnt.

Bale has a decent goalscoring record now. The season he was classified as a defender, he didn't have any real goalscoring history, and no one was talking about him as the next big thing (he wasn't even a starter for most of the season because BAE had the left back spot locked up). He was even more unproven than Enrique at that point.

Not saying Enrique is going to be the next Bale, but when you get 6 pts for a defender's goal and he's playing as part of the front 3, he is captain material week in week out, as long as you think he'll maintain his OOP status.

        Or indeed Assaidi.

Rogers surely won't pick Downing at LB again after a frankly pretty poor showing at Spurs, I expect Enrique will play at the weekend but not where everyone's expecting!

2 FTs, bringing him back won't be a problem, I'd probably just lose 0.2 at most if I decide to get him in next week, not even that probably. If he doesn't start, my defense looks ruined with Shorey playing United and Clyne playing Liverpool at Anfield.

All I'd say is that they aren't keeping CSs and they need to start banging in the goals before he'd get that much or a return. I mean in the past 6 or 7 weeks they've only gotten above 1 goal in a game once or twice (correct?).

Yeah, but stats don't tell the whole story. We've been incredibly wasteful - should have put 4 or 5 past Newcastle, Wigan and Fulham. I think a lot of Baines' returns depend on Jelavic finding some form.

Definitely. Watched every Everton game and, bar Fellaini, he's been the most dangerous player week in, week out. Could have had 20 points this week - after the first minute Arsenal didn't have a single chance, Everton had another clear penalty not given, and when Baines was going clear through on goal, Jelavic took the ball off him from an offside position. He's been incredible unlucky (particularly with the amount of penalties Everton haven't been given).

This doesn't include Fellaini's header off the line, and Distin's header saved well, from Baines crosses.

How much do you think Baines will drop by if he's only out for one week?

My moment of panic has passed - definitely keeping hold of Baines. It would be too painful to ditch him.

What if Baines moves to United?

Will you have him in your team?

If Baines moves to United then I'll go to Goodison, cry, and make him a little shrine.

Disagree, brought in replace Evra who is 31 and Leighton is 27. Much happier for us to bring in younger players and actually train them up.

Nothing against Leighton, honestly I like him a lot as a player. I just don't want him at United.

B with Berba (if he's still 7.3 or under).

      B. Although it would be better if you could stretch to 7.4 and get Berbs.

    1) Which two to play: Clark (qpr), Demel (CHE), Hughes (TOT) or Gorkss (MUN)?

    2) Who to bench: Sessegnon (nor), Sterling (SOT) or Michu (ars)?

    3) Who to captain: Rooney (rea), Bale (ful), Cazorla (SWA) or Suarez (SOT)?

Currently going for Clark and Demel in defence, benching Michu and captaining Rooney (on gut feeling + differential).

I think a lot will depend on if Wisdom is fit, I really can't see the Downing experiment continuing so Enrique may be LB if Wisdom doesn't make it...
