Most of our Suspension Tightrope protagonists were on their best behaviour last weekend. While Ashley Williams and Ramires fell foul of the referee’s wrath, both will now serve their respective one-match bans in the Capital One Cup – for a certain Spaniard on the other hand, there’s still time for that to change prior to next weekend.

Michu remains on four yellows and continues to pick up vast numbers of new suitors after notching another double against Norwich, though a caution in Wednesday’s Capital One Cup clash against Middlesbrough would earn him a one-match ban for the Swans’ trip to Tottenham next Sunday. Ashley Williams misses out in midweek for the Swans after picking up his fifth caution, while Chelsea’s Ramires will skip the Blues’ cup showdown with Leeds on December 19 for the same reason. Villa pair Ciaran Clark and Fabian Delph both balance precariously prior to tomorrow’s cup clash at Norwich.

Fulham’s home game with Newcastle this evening has a trio of players sitting on four yellows – Steve Sidwell for the hosts and Jonas Gutierrez and Cheick Tiote for Alan Pardew’s visitors. The Magpies also have a couple of players on three cautions apiece, Davide Santon and Mike Williamson.

Only one player moved onto the Suspension Tightrope last weekend, then – Everton’s Leon Osman shifted onto four yellows after picking up a booking in the 2-1 home win over Spurs yesterday, while former Toffee Wayne Rooney is now on three yellows, just two away from a one-match ban, after his caution in the Manchester derby.

Luis Suarez is available for Liverpool this weekend after serving a one-match suspension in yesterday’s win at West Ham, while Stoke welcome back Charlie Adam after the midfielder sat out their draw at Villa. Wigan pair Gary Caldwell and Maynor Figueroa also return to bolster the Latics’ backline for Saturday’s visit to Norwich.

Finally, John Obi Mikel is in the middle of a three-match ban received for foul and abusive post-match language and behaviour relating to Chelsea’s game with United back in October. With the Blues away on World Club Championship duty this coming weekend, Mikel will miss the Capital One Cup game against Leeds on December 19 in addition to the league game at home to Villa four days later.

    Three questions for ya guys

    1. Is ade nailed on for spurs? on my watchlist as alternative to defoe.

    2. I could do baines and fletcher > rooney & 5.1 left for defender? worth it? already have RVP.

    3. when does the jan wildcard come into effect? i should know this.

    cheers.

    Begovic | Foster
    Ivanovic | Mertesacker | Cuellar | Demel | Clyne
    Walcott | Michu | Fellaini | Maloney | Puncheon
    RVP | Suarez | Berba

    1 FT
    bank: 2.1 mln

3 of my players have blank this GW - Iva, Clyne & Punch. In the first place, I wanted to get rid of Ivanovic, but I never realized how convenient fixtures Chelsea has after CWC, so I ma considering keeping him.

What should I do then? Get rid of Cuellar first? Or maybe Demel, as he's not a 100% starter + without Diame WHU's defence may be much weaker...

Who would you get rid of first now:
    Ivanovic, Demel, Cuellar?

    and for who?
    Caulker, Nastasic, Skrtel, Gallas?

I'd get Glenn Johnson/Skrtel/Nastasic I think. As for your priority to sell, I'd say it's Cuellar (until the Wilcard) but obviously Ivanovic has no game this week so you could make a case for selling him. I wouldn't upgrade Demel I don't think.

any ideas what to do with this team?

    Mignolet (Ruddy)
    Enrique Bassong Cameron Demel (Cuellar)
    Cazorla Fellaini Nolan (Mata, Puncheon)
    RVP (C) Suarez ((VC) Berbatov

1FT, £0.7m in bank, my ideas are:

    A) Demel to Shorey/Nelsen
    B) Cuellar to Sagna/Caulker
    C) Something else???

On a serious note, I'd like to say yes to Aguero, but Tevez has impressed more. I'd avoid that dilemma on City attackers for now, I've got in Silva but not that that's reaping the rewards right now

Yes, I'd like to get in Tevez if his role felt more secure. He's been playing so well this season.

Aguero is the most nailed on no doubt but after Ballotellis performance yesterday and then Tevezs impact I think Tevez will become a lot more secure...

He was running around fine a couple of hours before the Chelsea match - he was just not risked because they wanted to make sure he was fit for Reading which was the important one. O'Neill pretty much said this as well.

If you look at AVB's track record this season, with players being brought into the game, you will notice how he doesn't rush them in. Happened with both injured, and transferred in players.

I think Bale is out for another week (before he actually starts), especially given Dempsey's performance.
