The hot favourite was sent packing from the quarter finals last weekend, as former world number one Iyad Zahlan was swept aside by “MileHigh” by 80 points to 46. The latter now moves up to 58th in the overall standings and will be joined in the last four by Wild Rover, who edged past Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad by two points in a battle of the site regulars.

Kun Nguyen also earned a place in the semi-finals with an upset of his own, defeating JMS 65-58, while David Bevan’s “Ange1Range1” scraped through on overall rank after drawing 50-50 with another familiar name on site, Ricky Smokes Lets Go.

The Semi-Final draw will follow later this week, with the last four clashing in Gameweek 22 as we take a break for the New Year’s Day programme. Those now involved now have the option to ponder whether to play their January Wildcards prior to their Gameweek 22 tie. Tense stuff.

1ange1range150* – 50Ricky Smokes lets go
2JMS58 – 65Mr.KK
3Wild rover49 – 47Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad
4Giavara55546 – 80MileHigh

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    PLEASE HELP ME!

which midfield/attack setup is best? (this would be my first purchase of RVP)

    1:Walcott, Bale, Michu, Felliani, Mata
    Torres, Suarez, Ruiz

    or

2: Walcott, Bale, Michu, Felliani, Marveaux
    RVP, Suarez, Ruiz

I'd rather 1 with Ba and Berb, can you afford that?

RVP so expensive now.... Mata vs Marveaux is ridiculous difference.

Marveaux's appeal is largely down to whether Ba stays at Newcastle. If Ba stays then Marveaux will make way for Ben Arfa when fit (soon). If Ba leaves then he has a good chance of being the next Sterling, but with more skill.

I'd say 2) but if Ba stays then look at someone else instead of Marveaux

Hmm, hard not to have RVP or any United attack. Would personally go for 2) but have Berbs instead of Ruiz, make some room for him by getting a cheaper defence or keeper.

Copying from last page of previous post.

Wondering about the same as well..

    FERRIS BUELLER’S ROTATION RISK SAYS:

General question to those who’ve been playing FPL some time; is it best strategy to play for value as well as points? To illustrate my point, if getting rid of Enrique would you consider Gibbs due to potential price-rise (and chance to gain extra team value before WC), even though Azpil/Nasty have more chance of an immediate points return this GW from a CS?

    Hope that makes sense!?

yeah - if you can get team value increase and a dgw and they are not just a 'filler' it all makes sense.

So in the case of Enrique to Gibbs (extra team value and DGW preparation) vs Nasty/Azpi/Davies (potential CS), you'd pick Gibbs?

I already have Gibbs and if I was in your position that's the move I'd be making. Fixtures to DGW aren't great but he has attacking potential and price should rise nicely over the next few weeks.

What if I get Davies for this GW for the potential CS
and after deadline tomorrow I get Gibbs immediately.

I will only miss 0.1 of his tomorrow's price rise. And as I'm planning to get Sagna in after the DGW for my WC, all I need is his resale value. 0.1 surely won't affect much?

How's that sound? Or just stick with Gibbs transfer?

Davies has started on LB since week 3 or so and nailed on since then.
Tiendalli came on just couple weeks ago as RB when Rangel was out injured.
Pretty sure Davies was just rested yesterday IMHO.

So tempted with Fellaini. Only two OUT options are Silva and Gerrard.

    Gerrard (SUN, mun, NOR, ars)
    Silva (STO, ars, FUL, qpr)
    Fellaini (new, SWA, sot, WBA)

Bearing in mind he's a long-term target, who I almost certainly want in my wildcard, would you swap him in for either Silva or Gerrard for -4pts - or leave it and do it next week for free when they both have tough away games?

    Thanks

Defoe at first glance looks a good captain choice but Reading have really tightened up at the back of late and havent conceded many at all in their last 3.

They are suseptable to crosses though and Spurs are good at getting the ball into the box.

Been thinking the same...Spurs have looked good though and Defoe has missed a ton of sitters recently. He could easily bag a brace.

    Tremmel
    Zabaleta, O Brien, Davies
    Cazorla, Michu* (c), Sterling, Punchy
    Torres(vc), Defoe, RVP

    Bego - Bale*, Clyne*, Enrique*

I've got 4 outs/doubts so any suggestions on transfers are welcome.

I'm not sold on fellaini this week and think Enrique to Cole could be a shout.

Are you playing Tremmel there on the off-chance he starts?

Who shall I put in for < 5.1m?

    Gorks/Gibbs/Cueller/Wilkinson/Nelson

    Awful fixtures for them all.

    A: Sagna
    B: Obrien
    C: Davies (Swa)
    D: Who else?

    Thanks

O Brien has pretty good fixtures so does Swans

I'd get Davies and use the cash else where.

Is it worth doing Enrique to Gibbs/Sagna for a hit, or should i just play Cuellar away to liverpool? If i don't do the transfer this week I'd b doing it next week

Save it for sure. Liverpool are v good at winning 4-0 then not scoring for a few games. Arsenal are away and do concede

I wouldnt take a hit on a defender. Too bigger risk imo

I'd save the hit as Cuellar is guaranteed to start and I can't see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet this week.

Save. I'm thinking of playing Cuellar, Liverpool at home aren't anything special this season.

I already have Gibbs and Cazorla. Plan to get Walcott, Nolan and probably O'Brien who I would keep going forward. If I didn't already have Cazorla I would go for Podolski.
