The hot favourite was sent packing from the quarter finals last weekend, as former world number one Iyad Zahlan was swept aside by “MileHigh” by 80 points to 46. The latter now moves up to 58th in the overall standings and will be joined in the last four by Wild Rover, who edged past Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad by two points in a battle of the site regulars.

Kun Nguyen also earned a place in the semi-finals with an upset of his own, defeating JMS 65-58, while David Bevan’s “Ange1Range1” scraped through on overall rank after drawing 50-50 with another familiar name on site, Ricky Smokes Lets Go.

The Semi-Final draw will follow later this week, with the last four clashing in Gameweek 22 as we take a break for the New Year’s Day programme. Those now involved now have the option to ponder whether to play their January Wildcards prior to their Gameweek 22 tie. Tense stuff.

    Don't think I can risk bringing Michu in for this week with the injury doubt still lingering. If there's any doubt will Laudrup want to risk him at home to Villa, with a big FA Cup game coming up? Especially after they've just shown they can win harder games without him.

    One week punt on Hazard/Oscar might be in order before wildcarding next week.

      Pretty straight forward IMO. If you don't own him, you don't bring him in yet, unless news breaks he's starting.

      If you own him, like I do, it's not so straight forward as I also have Bale.

        I'm pretty confident that Hazard will start. He's been rested a couple of times in recent weeks - Leeds and Norwich, so I can't imagine he'll get another rest.

        Put it this way, I'd be astonished if Rafa rests both him and Mata.

      I did Gorkss to Gibbs for a hit to avoid playng Cuellar. Gibbs got 4 points and Cuellar got minus 2. It works out sometimes.

    How has Baines' price stayed so constant?! He's done almost nothing in 15 weeks as still has 20% ownership!

      Probably because of all the suckers like me that have held on, convinced that points are coming. Aside from Suarez last season, I don't think I've ever seen a player come so close to points on so many occasions while consistently getting nothing.
