A somewhat vague Michael Laudrup reveals there’s “a possibility” Michu could return against Villa tomorrow. Newcastle are without Danny Simpson for the next “three to four weeks” according to Alan Pardew, after the right-back broke a toe in Saturday’s loss at Arsenal.

Samir Nasri is banned for three games after City decided not to appeal his sending off at Norwich. Martin Jol hopes to have Damien Duff and Mark Schwarzer back for Fulham’s trip to West Brom. Chelsea confirm Petr Cech picked up a groin injury in yesterday’s win at Everton, Adam Lallana is ruled out again for Southampton, though Nathaniel Clyne will undergo a late fitness test. Everton lose Darron Gibson for a month with a groin injury, while Stoke’s Andy Wilkinson is expected to recover from the concussion that forced him off at the weekend in time for the trip to City. Jose Enrique misses out for Liverpool, while Sunderland, in opposition at Anfield, will be missing John O’Shea – both are stricken by hamstring injuries.

    My current mids are: michu bale tarabt theo sterling....

    If michu was confirmed out I was planning to do bale >> mata and then bring bale back next week. This was so I could field 4 in midfield.

    Bt with michu on the borderline, should I just do tarabt >> fellaini/Oscar and hope that michu plays. If he doesn't play then I will be having a 433 formation

      Depends how much you read into the mata "rest" talk, I would worry about swapping one non playing mid for another.

      I'd keep michu if I had him as it looks like he might make it. Taarabt to fellani looks good IMO

        Alright, steady on. Berbs v Puncheon is a close one surely? Fulham away are pretty poor although everything comes through Berbs and he's on pens. Saints at home go for it and Puncheon has good attacking threat. Anyway isn't the point of this site to discuss stuff like this ?

    OK first ever post guys, hope you can help.

    This is my current team;

    Jaaskelainen
    Gibbs - Bassong - Baines -Shawcross
    Michu - Toure - Sterling - Puncheon
    Tevez - RVP - Berbatov

    Midfields a little week so looking bring in Walcott and bring back Fellaini. I'm thinking of the following;

    Toure -> Walcott
    Sterling -> Fellaini
    Tevez -> Lambert

    This is for a -4 hit and will leave me with £1.0M in the bank. I have to do the Tevez transfer to fund the midfielders and he has been out of form.

    Berba will be coming out soon also if he doesnt pick up form.

    Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that most of us would be going into the Jan WC with no real plans for City attacking cover (or any cover in many cases!). Nearly everyone had at least two of Kompany, Zabaletta, Silva, Tevez and Aguero at the start of the season.

    Michu, RVP & Torres are my (C) candidates. The tweet was promising but Laudrup's comments make me doubt Michu's game time. Torres vs QPR (H) seems like a good chance for him to bag some goals like last year when he got a hat-trick...or should I just go safe with RVP (C)
