In case you missed last night’s message – happy new year to you all!

There’s no time to shake the fuzzy heads, 2013 starts right here for Fantasy managers with seven Premier League matches and another 11.30 deadline ahead of us. This is the final straight of what has been an exhausting but exhilarating festive spell and, as always on deadline day, we’ve opened up our Matchday Surgery chatroom for one last time before the break for FA Cup football next weekend. No shouting please.

Our first Dugout Discussion of the year follows at 12.30 ahead of Fulham’s trip to West Brom. Sadly, there’s no preamble this morning – I’ve been up early, sans hangover, tinkering and testing Rate My Team and the Hall of Fame for roll out later today. It’s looking good and we should be live with those features shortly after the final whistle from today’s three o’clock matches.
