Britain is under a blanket of snow casting doubt over the weekend programme, while Lukas Podolski is, literally, under the weather. The German striker turns to Facebook to drop a minor bombshell: he missed training today but hopes to be fit for Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, Jonny Evans is ruled out for United’s trip to Spurs, who themselves look set to be without William Gallas at the back: he remains a doubt with a calf problem. Sergio Aguero is fit and in the mix for the visit of Fulham, Joey O’Brien and Mark Noble are available to take on West Ham’s two fixtures and Southampton sign defender Vegard Forren in time for Monday night’s clash with Everton. The Norwegian joins the Saints new regime on a landmark day at St Mary’s, as Mauricio Pochettino takes the reins from the dismissed Nigel Adkins.

All this and more is collected and collated in our team news section, where you’ll also find our updated predicted lineups.

Rate My Team and the members projections have also been updated to reflect the very latest.

We’ll keep you informed of any new information via our twitter feed, as always.

Is my team fine for this week? Would like to save a transfer if poss as haven't done that in forever

    Begovic
    Gibbs - Luiz - Demel
    Mata - Walcott (C) - Bale - J Cole - Michu
    RVP - Suarez (VC)

Subs: Clyne - Harte - Ruiz - (Bunn)

1.1 in the bank. Any transfers needed/recommended or good for the save? Thanks

Cheers, was tempted by Ruiz > Lukaku but would have to drop one of those mids which would be near impossible to do

I was looking at the same thing, but I agree that all of your midfielders should play over Lukaku anyway.

Does it make any sense to wait another week to play my wildcard ? I don't think I have enough double game week players only sagna and walcott

I did not bring in any new West Ham players for the dgw, but I do have two, Jussi and the now healthy O'Brien.

My team is very poor though. Berba vs City, Ba (rotation threat), Mannone, Chicarito

Will Carrol play? If so then perhaps Nolan will come good. You have to Like the QPR match anyway.

Negelecting CTC for the last 24 hrs has proven fatal... My planned move Puncheon & Defoe > Walcott & Pogrebnyak suddenly leaves me 0.2 short. Oh my oh my.

So which should be the preferred move to bring Walcott in:
A Mata->Walcott for free (Play Puncheon)
      B Fellaini>Walcott, Defoe>Lukaku for 4 pt hit (Play Lukaku)

Whomever thought glue-traps were humane has never seen a rat stew in that crap. Awful greeting to the end of a holiday. That said, Ba to Podolski/Giroud or wait until the team/weather news on Saturday?

I wouldn't use a glue-trap on an MK Don fan, let alone a rat! You'vve waited this long. might as well wait until an update on Podolski's sniffles.

Howdy all, just wondering which fixtures are at risk from weather this weekend. I'm an Aussie, so don't really know how bad it is.

I came across this, they will update as they come along: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/18/football-matches-postponed-snow

Also, I saw that some folks here mentioned the Swansea game might be in danger of postponement. However, I saw on Sky Sports on TV that their groundsman said they are ready to go.

Wouldn't it the travel to the ground be more a major issue, I remember games getting called off last season cause the roads were too dangerous for the fans to get to the ground?.

Also an Aussie that would like too know?

was 42deg where I live the other day, 46deg in Sydney yesterday. 🙂

The snow is still lying in wales but judging by the look of it most of the main roads are pretty clear and the area round the ground will be clear so I would think the game wil go ahead
