Britain is under a blanket of snow casting doubt over the weekend programme, while Lukas Podolski is, literally, under the weather. The German striker turns to Facebook to drop a minor bombshell: he missed training today but hopes to be fit for Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, Jonny Evans is ruled out for United’s trip to Spurs, who themselves look set to be without William Gallas at the back: he remains a doubt with a calf problem. Sergio Aguero is fit and in the mix for the visit of Fulham, Joey O’Brien and Mark Noble are available to take on West Ham’s two fixtures and Southampton sign defender Vegard Forren in time for Monday night’s clash with Everton. The Norwegian joins the Saints new regime on a landmark day at St Mary’s, as Mauricio Pochettino takes the reins from the dismissed Nigel Adkins.

          You have Davies as your 3rd defender, not bad. Hazard on form as well, small chance Mata might be rested, saves your -4. It is not a bad move, but I would save 1 transfer.

      Haz > Caz yes. Cuellar > Demel may or may not be worth it, as he may end up with only 2 more points than Nelsen. Good luck with the first aid course.

      I like these transfers; maybe this weeks liverpool/man city match will make it clearer whether Aguero & Sturridge are 100% fit & will play regularly. With John Terry back, Azp to Evra seems sound.

    Going for Fellaini over Theo after this week for sure.
    Saves about 1.5. We'll miss the occasional haul.. but I can't see him being up front for the season and his finishing is too erratic to keep me content in the long run.
    Plus.. Fellainis a beast!

      My middie 5 is currently Michu, Fell, Walcott, Gerrard and Puncheon. Thinking im gonna ship out walcott after the DGW and get Mata or Bale, I think both offer far more attacking wise for the remainder of the season.

    Been debating all week and still unsure who to bring in as my 3rd Arsenal coverage this week. Have Gibbs and Walcott but who should be the last?

    a) Cazorla - poor form as of late but he's due a good game and high ownership so not owning him could be a problem

    b) WIlshere - coming off a goal midweek so should be playing with some confidence

    c) Podolski - apparently battling a cold? also worry about how many mins he'll play/early subs

    d) Giroud - will he start both games?

      Same boat as you. Was going to do Ba - Pod, but held off and not sure now. Other option was Bale to Caz, but think it's one of those transfers where you just swap it back the next week so is it worth doing... Might actually just save the transfer.

    Can anyone advise me on the West Ham defence please? I have 4.2 to spend so deciding between Demel and Tomkins. Some of the fans are saying Spence had a good game at OT midweek so may keep his place at right back. On that basis was thinking go safe with Tomkins but just read an article that said James Collins will have a late fitness test. Anyone got any more info or advice please?

    At the moment i have 5 players from this weeks DGW(with McCartney being injured) and have 1 free transfer available. I'm planning to either bring Walcott for Silva or Ttake out Lambert for Podolski. Should I make the 1st one as Walcott looks like a shoo-in into the side but i don't want to drop Silva before the home game against Fulham. Also should I drop Luiz for Cameron as i do have 3 potential pick from Arsenal, even though its gonna clash against Michu

    So please help in making my decisions. I am also planning to use the Wildcard next week.

      Ba is better than either in the longer term, but if you're set on either, I would go with Podolski. Ignoring his possible illness, he's the better fantasy prospect - more minutes, averaging more points and more explosive.
