I was pretty good all through my teens and up until a few years ago...I haven't played in a while though. I played for a few teams and always loved it. Never really had a set position, anywhere but in goals basically 🙂 I'm both footed too so it was handy as I could switch wings a lot...you might say I was Bale-esque 🙂

I'm a goalkeeper... being 6"5' helps... I played for a few Amateur teams in Aberdeen when I was at Uni... and when I wasn't training or playing, me and some mates would be playing in a 5 a side competition on the Astro...
I love it, there is nothing better than diving around trying to save shots... which is all you do in 5 a side, but in the full size pitch there is a lot more to think about like positioning, commanding your box, organising your defenders and crossing etc...
I haven't yet had the chance to play in Australia though...Open Controls-

As the Deadzone is full of the most sensible people I thought I'd post this again from yesterday.
I'm looking to sell Suarez because I wan't to keep Sturridge and obviously want to field a full 11. The difficulty though is picking the right replacement. I would greatly appreciate some feedback.
A) Dzeko – If he were nailed on he would easily be my first choice. 7.5m for a City striker, yes please. But how much game time will he really get? Is it worth it?
B) Benteke – A form player who is the main man for Villa but has some tough fixtures over the next two games in particular but is he fixture proof?. It doesn't help that Villa are a bit rubbish though.
C) Cisse – Newcastle are on the up and Cisse is nailed on albiet not in the best of form. HBA and Sissoko would offer much better value and I could possibly do with upgrading Puncheon to one of them in the next GW
D) Lambert – A form player in a form team. However I already have Puncheon and Clyne. Would I want to play 3 Saints players away to Newcastle? Of course I would sell Puncheon the following week to bring that number down to 2 again.
E) Rooney – Would mean doubling up with RVP but United have fantastic short term fixtures. Might come down to whether ManU get knocked out of the CL to reduce the threat of rotation
F) Aguero – Much more expensive than Dzeko but is nailed on. Form isn’t great but it should pick up.
Other options I've already ruled out
Giroud - I already have Walcott and would rather not have another GW29 blank to deal with
Lukaku - Is being rotated too much for my likingOpen Controls-

FWIW, I'm in a very similar situation, and I think I'm going Aguero. The should be fired up after last weekend, and they have plenty of motivation atm to push for the top. I would go for Cisse, but I'd rather Sissoko.

Yeah I wouldn't mind Cisse as well but he just doesn't seem to be worth 3m more than sissoko or 1.5m more than HBA.
Regarding Aguero, there is the possibility he could be dropped. It would be a real shock but his form has not been good at all lately. It wouldn't surprise me to see some of the big names take a hit as a result of the fallout.Open Controls-
But the thing is, he actually helps the team out a hell of a lot more than Dzeko does. Dzeko does literally nothing except pop up for tap ins. Yes, he's bloody good at it, but Mancini needs players that give 100%.

I'm in the same situation, and for me its between A and D. Leaning towards Dzeko, he has started 6 of the last 7, if you were told in the next 7 he would start 6 i think its a easy choice, just always going to have that doubt in the back your mind.

If I didn't already have Puncheon and Clyne, Lambert would be an easy choice for me. I'm leaning towards Dzeko as well but I'd hate to have a serious rotation threat in my team. I'd be fine with him starting 6/7 games though

Just to add to what i said.. i think Aguero is a BIG waste. I would actually rather have Suarez and Sturridge, Aguero is out of form, city aren't playing well, the only reason for getting him is people know he's a good player but in FPL terms this season he has been awful!

Thats the route i took. Look at rooney points haul even with playing with RVP. If you pro rata his points to minutes played he equals RVP.
You can also have united players till the rest of the season and not have to worry about change or fixtures.Open Controls-
Rotation could be a problem though especially as the PL is all but wrapped up. It would not be nice to see RVP and/or Rooney on the bench

Aguero is in the same boat. Youll get a few rotations, but again its a big offset by getting two off the highest scoring players. They averaged close to 7 points a game when playing together. Thats just ridiculous.

I'm looking at Dzeko, Benteke, Lambert and maybe Aguero, if he can pull his finger out...
I agree on Dzeko, if he was guaranteed 90mins, he would be straight in my team, but the fact is he isn't so I probably won't get him... Lambert has some good fixtures until the end and is on form, so he is on the top of my list...
Benteke as well has some great fixtures... actually the only fixture (after the next 2) I wouldn't want to play him in is the Utd fixture in GW34...
Aguero is definitely the luxury option, but with the way Citeh are playing, I just can't see myself being comfortable parting with that much money for such an inconsistent player...
After GW29, I'll probably go with RVP Lambert Benteke/Dzeko...Open Controls-

No I wouldn't get Benteke until GW29 tbh...
Lambert always looks like scoring, regardless of his fixture... 3 Saints wouldn't be ideal, but I can still see them scoring 1 or 2 goals there...
I know it doesn't mean much, but historically, Citeh haven't scored well away to Villa... and Chelsea at home is tough to predict... if I has that option and was dead set getting in Lambert in a few weeks anyway, I'd just do it now and get it over with, saving a transfer down the line...

I was put with a very similar situation, I've made 3 changes but before that your list was about the same amount of tinkering I narrowed it down to 3 in Dzeko, Lambert and Beneke and really got no further, ended up re buying Wally and getting Sissy as well and putting RVP and Sutdge up front and going 3-5-2, I've put Anichebe up front but he's for the bench and only to cover GW27 if played.
If I had to pick one I'd go with Dzeko with a view for Lambert the min there's a hint of rotation, I believe Tevez is now back in the squad as well so be careful and maybe for for Lambert for security.Open Controls -
I've got Benteke at the moment and I wouldn't mind also having Lambert but Aguero is someone I'd like to have as my second striker alongside RVP ideally. I can't get Rooney without 2 transfers so that's going to be difficult and him playing on the wing the last few matches isn't enticing me much. Cisse is a punt but it's probably a worthy one considering there aren't a whole lot of strikers that will get such a monopoly of chances. He hasn't hit form but he is likely to continue to have lots of chances most games now that he's up there on his own. So it's probably only a matter of time before he goes on a run.
Dzeko I'm wary of but of course he would be a steal at that price. I just feel like I've learnt a lot of lessons buying players that aren't completely nailed on so it's one to monitor.
All in all I would rate it as
Aguero/Lambert No.1 choice
Cisse - decent punt
Dzeko - decent punt but the riskiest by far
Rooney - depends on your bankOpen Controls -
I have done E. May not keep them both right thru til GW38, but I like that combo best for the short term. Will reassess after GW29 (and may well keep).
If one of them gets a rest, its not hard at the moment to get good backup options as your D4 and D5 to step up from the bench.Open Controls -
I personally wouldn't mind Cisse; good fixtures and now the focal point of a team with a lot of creative talent. Dzeko, Tevez and Aguero will all get goals though, irrespective of starts. In isolation is have to say Aguero.

I too have RVP and Sturridge and in this long wait for gw27 I am becoming convinced that 3-5-2 is the way to go. There are 8-10 mids I would take before your accurate list of 3rd striker options -- very hard to justify any of them as a 7th attacker as good as a big 5th mid. Hard to pass up JRod or Anichebe and then spend the money elsewhere...

I guess Pog is the other one that looks relatively nailed on. I personally prefer 3-4-3 so far as I think these third strikers are easily keeping up with those mids. Benteke and Lambert are on penalties too...there's a lot to be said for having them in your team.
