Liverpool serve up a belated double Gameweek treat against a much-changed Swansea side at Anfield. Luis Suarez, Jose Enrique, Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard are the main protagonists, while Michu’s owners are left frustrated as the Spaniard warms the visitors’ bench for the entire 90 minutes:

On the Up

Luis Suarez
The Uruguayan ran amok against a second-string Swansea to deliver a goal and pair of assists in the 5-0 rout. Daniel Sturridge’s arrival had raised concerns over Suarez’s Fantasy prospects but it’s clear he is just as consistent alongside the former Chelsea man and has now scored in three of their four starts together.

Steven Gerrard
Those who handed the Liverpool skipper the armband would’ve been holding their breath as he stepped up to take the first-half spot kick. While Gerrard atoned for his penalty miss against West Brom on Monday to slot past Michel Vorm, suffice to say his decision to hand Daniel Sturridge Liverpool’s second spot-kick of the afternoon did not go down too kindly with his owners.

Daniel Sturridge
Having provided an assist, his haul was surprisingly boosted by Gerrard’s decision to step aside for the second penalty. Sturridge subsequently slotted home and has now produced four goals and a pair of assists in just five appearances for the Reds, with attacking returns in each of his appearances.

Jose Enrique
A goal and assist contribution supplemented a clean sheet as the raiding left-back racked up 16 points, pre-bonus for the Gameweek. With an ownership of less than 5%, Enrique has turned out to be crucial differential for the double.

Philippe Coutinho
Handed a first start since joining the club from Inter last month, the young Brazilian notched his side’s second to suggest he could be a real mid-price option if he can nail down a regular role. Coming in at 6.5 in FPL, Coutinho is likely to receive new interest once the blank Gameweek 27 is past, given Liverpool’s kind run of fixtures.

Going Down

Swansea Squad Rotation
With next weekend’s Capital One Cup final in mind, Michael Laudrup took the opportunity to hand many of his second-string a chance to impress. While today’s result will be hugely frustrating for Michu owners after the Spaniard warmed the bench, it’s fair to say that Laudrup is unlikely to make the same mistake again – today’s display highlighted Swansea lack of strength in depth in spectacular style.

Fabio Borini
The Italian last just eight minutes after replacing Suarez as a sub late on in the second-half. Borini was ushered off with a shoulder injury and post-match comments attributed to his manager suggest a possible dislocation which would rule him out for the rest of the season.

What are some feasible differentials over the next little while...

The template 5-man midfield has served me well, plus RVP and Suarez...

Looking to break out of it. Not sold on Aguero yet. Nor Sissiko.

Midfield congestion: Michu, Bale, Mata, Walcott all in the driving seat.

Equally, Stevie, Sissoko, Fellaini, Cazorla, Hazard and Smellarat could all do the bizz.

How the hell do you decide?

Does not matter. bale is playing up top now and is simply a machine + hes free kicks are just banging in like no tommorow. Hes the complete package. Michu is STILL a bargain, Walcott + Mata are consistency machines.

Nice fixtures but Cisse hasn't done anything of much note and I'm very wary on players not in form...regardless of fixtures.

I hold the belief that many will hold onto the RVP/Suaz/L'chop forward line. If so, the differentials lie in midfield. I think Stevie and Sissoko need to be swapped in and out for differentials.

If you are going to buy NEW, Sissoko looks a great buy.

Fellaini's probable blank in 29 puts me off him, and not convinced by Siss either.

Im going Kebe and resorting to 343 with Kebe bench fodder.

Next week WIG(H) and GW29 AVL(H) to cover for Walcott = the perfect bench fodder with explosive potential.

Are those who own both Suarez and Sturridge still confident about selling Suarez?

I think they will score very similarly so I guess it makes sense to sell Suarez, but begrudgingly. It's a shame there's a blank as I'd be happy to keep both!

My logic for selling Suarez is that I bought him for 10.5 so won't be losing value and can buy back in for little cost. Otherwise, the fact that Sturridge and even Coutinho provide great value also makes the decision fairly simple.

    ACQUAFRESCA SAYS: Suarez > Aguero.

@Acqua: I cannot sell Suarez .. bought him for 9.4 .. he gave me 167 pts in 20 GWs.. he was a differential and will be going forward (many bought him for DGW and will sell him)

Mata, Bale, Walcott, Michu, Puncheon, Suarez, RVP, Remy are my front 8 .. 1 FT left

can spend 8.0 on a new striker .. who would you suggest?

With Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle all playing on Thursday would you agree that IF you have the funds it is best to ignore price rises and hold off on doing any transfers until Thursday evening at the earliest in case any players get injured?

I am planning on doing Baines, G.Johnson and De Guzman -> Turner/Wilson, Evans and Bale BUT if any of my Man U or Reading players get injured tonight or if Walcott gets injured tomorrow night or if Mata or Bale get injured on Thursday then I will want to do different transfers.

I wouldn't get rid of Baines with his upcoming fixtures. There will be points.

But regarding your point, yes, waiting is the prudent option. I've missed price rises/drops recently and figure I might as well wait it out.

He's had a high ODI world ranking for a very long time. Perhaps he's finally slipped a few spots. One of our most consistent and reliable bowlers

    To go with RVP:
    A) Aguero + Sturridge
    B) Suarez + Lambert?

    So,
My front line at the moment is cisse Sturridge giroud
I have decided Rvp is going to be problematic in the next few weeks (game time) but I want to bring kun.
Should I do it now for a hit for Sturridge (can't field 11 thou) or should i wait and bring him for giroud next week and keep Sturridge? This week kun v Chelsea is the kind of fixtures at home that kun used to thrive on...
