We’re down to the final 128 teams in this year’s instalment of the Members Cup as Gameweek 27 saw some big community names fall by the wayside including “Doosra”, “Back Back Ballack”s “dribbler” and “Gaz Downright”, among others.

“Evs”, now up to 20th spot in the overall rankings, navigated passed “CHUBBY” by a convincing 60 vs 41 scoreline but fellow big hitter, Jonah, slipped out of the tournament: despite being tenth in the overall FPL standings, he made way as “Dilley” put pay to his campaign by a narrow three point margin (42 vs 39).

Previous Cup winner, “Fuzzy Dunlop” is going strong thanks to a 40 vs 32 win over “DBREADY” but fellow Hall of Famer, “Kippax Kikkers”, departs the tournament, turned over by “BlzBob” in a close 38 vs 34 encounter.

As for the contributors, Paul continues to fly the flag – he made it through to Round Three thanks to a 46 vs 37 victory over Rossaldinho, as Big Dunc went out to “mcginley50”.

The draw for the next round will be published tomorrow afternoon.

        Øvrebø continued some years and managed to get on the front page again in CL 09–10. Bayern game i think. He ended his international career in May 2010 after he did`t make the final cut of 10 representatives from Europe in South Afrika.
        
        I understand how difficult their job can be at times but in that semi-finals, it was a lot of things to criticize. Something Øvrebø also admits..

    It was farcical. Chelsea were amazing that night and fully deserved to go through.

Benitez is such a tit. The only way you can shut the fans up and make them change their minds is by achieving and getting good results. That's the only way. You can't tell someone how they should be acting, that just makes things worse.

When Rooney handed in a transfer request 2 years ago I was absolutely seething with anger at him. He didn't have a go back at the fans. He did his talking on the field with a series of great performances and commitment to the cause. We soon forgave him.

  erm Granville, that season Rooney was f'n awful from the time of his transfer request for pretty much the whole season, but his goal v City kinda makes people forget that. He had that season sandwiched between his 2 mega seasons. But the season of the transfer request Berba and Chicharito basically carried the team most of the season.
