FFS Members Cup III – Second Round Results

We’re down to the final 128 teams in this year’s instalment of the Members Cup as Gameweek 27 saw some big community names fall by the wayside including “Doosra”, “Back Back Ballack”s “dribbler” and “Gaz Downright”, among others.

“Evs”, now up to 20th spot in the overall rankings, navigated passed “CHUBBY” by a convincing 60 vs 41 scoreline but fellow big hitter, Jonah, slipped out of the tournament: despite being tenth in the overall FPL standings, he made way as “Dilley” put pay to his campaign by a narrow three point margin (42 vs 39).

Previous Cup winner, “Fuzzy Dunlop” is going strong thanks to a 40 vs 32 win over “DBREADY” but fellow Hall of Famer, “Kippax Kikkers”, departs the tournament, turned over by “BlzBob” in a close 38 vs 34 encounter.

As for the contributors, Paul continues to fly the flag – he made it through to Round Three thanks to a 46 vs 37 victory over Rossaldinho, as Big Dunc went out to “mcginley50”.

The draw for the next round will be published tomorrow afternoon.

    So, many possible captains this week.
    Many will stick by the undisputed form of bale, some will get lured by fixtures with aguero or fellaini, and others will go with the surprisingly consistent Suarez away to Wigan, or take a punt on michu at home vs an offensive minded Newcastle.
    However, when you go to the RMT tool in the members section, a different answer emerges...

    So finally for GW 29:-

    Arsenal, everton, Chelsea, Fulham definately not playing?

    United, City, wigan, WHam we need to wait to check reschedule? Or do we have any confirmations here too?(I personally believe it will be rearranged in 29 if possible, why would the PL not want to use a free date spl for City where no TV rights are involved)

    Have been following these issues all week~

    1)Benching RVP looks fine for me if you've good front 8.(But If you've Puncheon,better start RVP.)
    No way RVP will start against Norwich. He can come in for cameo and should rely upon those minutes if u decide to start.
    2)Fielding 10 rather than shipping out any of your player looks fine for me in GW29. Anyway,there will be a DGW & with the value lost & 2FT(worth at least 8 points in these Blank/DGW situation),It's better to field 10.

    Looking forward to your opinions also.

      For the love of god start RVP. You cannot pay 14m for a bench warmer. I'm not opposed to selling him but don't bench him. He could score a brace if he gets a cameo anyway.

          Although I suppose if you're looking at:

          Michu, Fellaini, Bale, Mata, Walcott

          Suarez, Lambert, RVP

          It's hard to bench any.

        B) Walcott could easily outscore RVP if both got 90 minutes. Arsenal-Spurs tends to go goal crazy.

        Also, a while ago, someone worked out that since he returned from exile on the bench Walcott had better PPG than RVP anyway (may or may not still be true, but will be close).
