We’re down to just 64 teams in Paddy Power Members Cup, as Gameweek 28 saw another round of managers fall by the wayside.

Former winner “Fuzzy Dunlop” remains in the mix, edging his way through to the fourth round with a narrow 75-72 victory over “Stills”. The community juggernaut that is “Evs” also rolls on – ranked 14th in the world, he disposed of his third round opponent, “ff addict” by a convincing 81-66 scoreline. As for the contributors, Paul remains in the hat, cruising to a 64-52 victory over “Schnitzengrubens”.

With a decimated Gameweek 29 providing the next round of matches, we could see some upsets next time around. The draw for the fourth round will be published tomorrow afternoon.

  Dunno about 1 or 3 but I think Milan will go through too. Can't see Barca keeping a clean sheet. Their form has dipped lately and Milan can be a formidable enough defensive unit. A hat-trick from Messi will be nice though cos I'll captain him on Wednesday.

    yeah i'm most doubtful of barca progressing of the 3. they've got a tough task ahead of them and 3-1 (which i feel will be the score) will put them out. that is assuming they get their act together after these last 3 losses and actually score some goals

After doing Mata + Aguero -> Sissoko + Bentekke for 2 FT's.

Plan is to get Rooney in for next GW and double up on the United attack vs. Reading.
The only foil in the plan is no Suarez but i made a decision earlier on the fact that Sturridge would provide enough coverage and maybe i can afford to monitor and not buy him yet, keeping in mind they play Tottenham. Plus, looking for a few gambles and team composition doesn't matter that match since i will be using the Wildcard before the DGW.

Thoughts? Still not sure who i like as the best one week punt for a striker this week.

        Yeah I saw the match. He was always playing central, between Mata and Hazard whenever he started. I like him, though he's a big rotation threat, one of those players that have suffered under Rafa. He was class under RDM.

      Benteke. More essential to everything Villa do. Saints can score with a number of players but if Benteke doesn't do it no one else will for Villa.

Starting to regret that I didn't knee jerk Rvp => Suarez last weekend.

    The goal threat tbf. If you're looking for clean sheets, Samba isn't the way to go. Newcastle have nice fixtures too, but they are not keeping the clean sheets really too. It all comes down to goal threat, and we know what Samba's all about.
    
    And about Sess, he was playing behind Fletcher until Graham came in, and was generally shit. Now that Graham's come in, he's shifted on the right side of the wing, which he prefers, and he's a beast there.

I thought you already had Bentekkers is not, then yes of course great option this week.

Others are - Remy, Lambchops, Cisse, Suarez (but he's great option every week)

  Yeah, i think i'll gamble and hold off Suarez for a bit. Tottenham are a good defence.
  
  Plus, we still aren't sure how Suarez will perform when Sturridge is in the team as well. I had my reasoning for ditching Suarez after the DGW and i'll back it for now. Lots of money in the cash so can get him anytime.

  every way i look at it i still think it's gotta be Remy....He's not the best pick for this week but just one of the best picks....His advantage is he frees up so much money for DGW transfers and isn't over priced for bench material afterwards...Most teams in the DGW's are gonna require decent funds and no doubt losses of TV value will also become a factor...

    @Wakey - I am having this same debate and agree with you. Can afford Benteke this week and agree he's a good pick but want to play a 3-5-2 going forward (with RVP, Suarez) so don't want an expensive 3rd striker sitting on my bench. Remy I don't mind sitting on the bench as back up.
    
    If I bring Benteke in (and poss captain him this week) then I have to choose a mid to bench next week out of my strong 5 as Benteke has QPR at home.
