Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany both remain on the sidelines as City make their way to Goodison tomorrow lunchtime. Nani has failed to recover from the hamstring problem that forced him out of last Sunday’s FA Cup draw with Chelsea, while Phil Jones is also out for United’s home game with Reading tomorrow evening.

Alan Pardew has been dealt a bitter blow, with Hatem Ben Arfa set to be ruled out for the season – the winger requires surgery on his ongoing hamstring injury. Yohan Cabaye has “half a chance” of making the Magpies’ trip to Wigan on Sunday, after he was subbed off with a recurrence of a groin problem in last night’s Europa League win over Anzhi.

Adel Taarabt has recovered from the knock that kept him out of last weekend’s win over Sunderland, while Harry Redknapp is optimistic that both Julio Cesar and Armand Traore will be available to return for a crucial trip to Villa Park after reporting “a fairly clean bill of health” in this morning’s press conference.

Sam Allardyce has real doubts over midfield duoe Mark Noble and Kevin Nolan as the Hammers make their way to Stamford Bridge, Matt Taylor has returned to training and could make the squad, though Joe Cole misses out against his former club. George McCartney could be named in Sunday’s squad if he completes a 45 minute run out for the Under 21 side today without any problems.

Anthony Pilkington is out for “two to three weeks” with a hamstring problem for Norwich, while Chris Hughton gave Fantasy managers a heads-up after he revealed he hopes to have John Ruddy back for the end of the month.

    A heads up for people in 2 minds over whether to select RVP or Rooney... it's one you'll have to think for yourself on.

    RVP owners will say RVP, regardless. Rooney owners will say Rooney. Those who have neither will be now in the minority.

    Have a think about what you'd spend the difference on, if you went for Rooney... whether you're leading or chasing... who your rivals have... 😀

        Not sure about that, I believe most think that Sturridge is better than Lambert for the next few weeks and RVP is better than Rooney, however, I'm asking for a combo comparison: Sturridge, Suarez, Rooney versus Lambert, Suarez, RVP. The first combo only gives me 1M extra funds than the 2nd choice

      RVP: Penos, more nailed on(imo), going for the golden boot.

      Studg: Better fixtures, plays for a better team so will get more chances and looking at Liverool's form, shd get plenty.

      They have no chance. Dzeko has been good this season at times, but the rotation of the strikers has cost them I think. Tevez and Aguero should have been given a long streak of games together, would have helped my team selection also 🙂

      Don't see an issue with ditching one of the strikers, selling Mara could backfire but then again he could be rafatated. It's a gamble but could be worth it with the captains armband. Then again, Bale(c) could turn out better anyway. In short, not a clue what you should do 😉

    I’ve got 1.5m in the bank and 1FT. Selling Onuoha gives me 5.4m to play with for a defender so options I’ve been considering are Kolo Toure, Nastasic, Mertesacker, Bassong, Debuchy, Dawson and Samba. I’m leaning towards Mertesacker purely because of the DGW. Any suggestions much appreciated.
