We’re down to the last 16 in the Scout Members Cup after last weekend’s results. Rodallega Bombs, who knocked out Evs in the previous round, progresses once again, while Stevey Trader was the top scoring manager for the round with 53 points – all the more impressive, given he took an eight point hit.

Elsewhere, former winner Fuzzy Dunlop is still in with a shout, as is site regular Eunuch Jelly, after a 45 point haul in Gameweek 30. The draw for the next round is being sorted out behind the scenes – we should be rolling that out tomorrow or Thursday:

      One of my biggest regrets is going with Migs rather than DDG in my WC. The only hope with Sunderland is that they are so toothless in attack then they might have to rely on keeping it tight and not conceding in order to have any chance in games. Don't fancy their chances if they concede first

      But this guy is talking about the drug paraphernalia that is offensive itself. And I'm not arguing that he is wrong to feel this way. It's true that people would rather not be subjected to drug references inappropriately.
      
      I just get the feeling if there was beer ads on the side column here you wouldn't get the same complaints. Because it's legal. Whereas marijuana etc is considered illegal by society so it's frowned upon. But alcohol has caused way more deaths and troubles than marijuana has.
      
      That's the only point I was trying to make.

Did an early double tranny this week. Michu + Punch ➡ Caz + Townsend

Felt that this was the best plan going forward especially with Punch seemingly out of favour... Lost a bit of value with Michu but it was becoming a little bit of a millstone.

The other option would have been a straight swap - Mata ➡ Caz but I have a lot of faith in Johnny Kills and hopefully he will escape the worst of Rafatation for the rest of the run in

What's the general feeling on here with the midfield spots?

    I missed out on the Reading explosion first time around and I think there could be a decent haul in either the Reading or West Brom game and then we're into the DGW.
    
    I would have liked to wait as well but with Michu dropping and Townsend rising I had to do the trade asap. I'm pretty sure that last time around Caz played a full 90 mins after playing in Panama?
    
    It's all a risk but hopefully I'll get away with it 🙂

  I really want Cazorla for the next three, and Michu has looked a little weak as a fantasy asset for a while so I can see the appeal. Looks like a good move to me.
  
  As for more general thoughts on the midfield. I personally am going big 5 simply because all the DGW players I want are big midfielders and not strikers as it traditionally used to be.

    Cheers for the reassurance. Michu was my safety blanket and there was an element of keeping him in as insurance against my ML rival but I felt it was time to get rid. I hope that Caz can recoup the 4 point hit against Reading!
    
    Fully in agreement on your second point but already done the standard 'RVP back in' move last week so might have to stick with the RVP, Suarez, Lambo front three. Lamb ➡ Mirallas could be my cheeky punt for the DGW

Ok lads, Michu, what to do?

I've had him from GW1, so I have a lot tied up in him. He has nor, SOT either side of his blank, and I know that come the DGW I'll want him back. So to me, it doesn't make sense to sell him, when I'll just have to buy him back for a higher price later? Thoughts lads. Also would have to sell Migs (who is nailed on) over Bunn (who may not come back) to fund it. It all seems like madness

  Why do you want him so badly? When he was cheap he was awesome, but lately his form has dropped after what has been a long season. Lets be honest he did carry the Swansea team at points. RVP last year lost it towards the end and is doing it again, its very difficult for anyone to do so much for a team for so long.

      Had him since GW1 as well but finally bit the bullet and swapped him for Caz. Like many others I imagine I've got a few too many misfiring at the moment and I wanted the little Spaniard for the next 3.
      
      It's a tough one but if you know that you will want him back then I would keep. It depends how much you want to bring in Caz/Haz for that spot?

  I'm tempted to do the Michu > Felli move for 33 but will reserve judgement for now. Sadly, with Walcott stuttering and with the RVP blip, my knee is fidgeting on Michu because it seems folly to persevere with a string of players off-form. Like you, though, I'm loathed to get rid.

    I think I have a keeper issue personally atm, Migs has horrible fixtures and Bunn is unlikely to return, so I think I may want a new keeper, but would prefer a DGW one. This complicates matters

        So essentially you have two centre backs and Lucas. The teams they struggle against have big forwards that just barge their way through. Benteke could easily have a field day.

    Iv got 1 transfer and am looking at either selling mata, fellaini or michu. Im worried that mata will be rested next gw.. I dont want to sell michu just yet because iv had him the whole season and if i sell him, and he suddenly hits form again, i wont be able to get him back... wanna give him 2 more gw's. My subs have 2 good gw's so they cover fellaini. This leaves me with 1 option - sell mata with option of getting him back after gw33?

      Id suggest just upgrading your bench, Puncheon or Harte could both fill the void left by Fella for 2 gameweeks. Michu would be ideal to ditch out of those 3 but on the other hand you will want him back for GW 36.

        Likely to be rotated for one of the games. I cant argue replacing him with Caz or Walcott as it is a long term move, but just be prepared for a big score missed GW 32 or 33 unless you get a bit lucky. I am too scared to get rid before 33 myself. But I already have arsenal mid and forward too.

  Its like this, after his 2 week break we will all want him for the DGW but transfers will be so valuable for week 33 that I don't want to waste one getting him back in.

        As for keepers, the best one is Mig if your only going for one as he is nailed on and a decent stopper.

        Yeah just play Migs. He plays and thats all that matters these days. Not long enough left of the season to worry about him in my opinion. Especially with so many DGW's.

        Hmm ok, interesting thanks. I wonder if Almunia had such good results as Fab currently as well? Arsenal seem to be playing there best defense in a while. Need to do my research as I am looking at Fab strongly.

        My thoughts is that Kos and Mert are the real reason for the upturn and Wenger has pretty much admitted as much in the media. He knows Vermaelen is a cracking defender, but he just isnt the right player for our team and its very sad to have to say that.

I need to get rid of Bunn and puncheon this week but who should I replace dem with (0. 0 in the bank)

a) Bunn and Puncheon > Fabianski and Maloney (not sure if Fabianski is nailed on) (-4)

b) Vorm and Puncheon > Jussi and Maloney (and sort Bunn out later) (-4)

c) Bunn - Puncheon - Studge > Jussi - Townsend - Kone (-8)

The more I think about it B is the best? Do u agree

      Sure, no doubt that Fabianski is a prospect for the remainder but I think we need to see one more teamsheet from Wenger first. Vorm will at least get you saves from all those Bale efforts from range 😉

  I'm waiting to see if Mata gets minutes for Spain. The other factor against Mata for me is that Southampton are a tough prospect now - defensively, they've lept in form if you look at the stats.
